Open Lot This place is the worst!

This place is the worst! They totally ripped me off. They sold me a car with messed up tires and wouldn't let me switch it out for something better. And when I decided I didn't want the car at all, they kept my deposit. What a scam! Avoid the one on 2100 S. Decatur at all costs. Don't trust these guys.

Open Lot My man got a truck from here and like a month and a half later the engine went kaput!

My man got a truck from here and like a month and a half later the engine went kaput! They said they couldn't do nothin' cause it was outside of THEIR warranty. Be careful with these people. They was tryna get us to pay 3k+ to have the engine replaced. According to Carlos (the big dude in the front) we was supposed to be gettin' a deal cause they was "only" chargin' us $400 for labor and $2800 for the engine. This would be a deal if we had the truck for years. We just put 2k+ to get the truck, now we gotta fix it? I get it you got a 30 day warranty, but really? At least make the purchase worth it! Anyway, I got the quote in writing, dates and vin numbers can be cross examined with the purchase agreement. What's even worse, when we managed to get an engine ourselves they wanted to charge us $800 to install the engine. I wish we never went to OpenLot! I also got text messages to prove two different conversations with two reps from OpenLot with no avail.

I went to Open Lot to buy a car and they told me the mileage was low, but when I got the car home and checked it out, I found out they lied to me. The mileage was way higher than they said it was. Plus, when I tried to report it, they falsified the report. Don't trust these guys. They're shady.

Open Lot I bought a car from Open Lot on April 4

I bought a car from Open Lot on April 4. But on April 10, I had to take the truck back because the window wouldn't roll up or down. Also, the traction light and engine light kept coming on. I took the truck to a shop on Boulder Highway. After a week, the engine light stayed on and the truck kept shutting off. I took the truck back, and I was told that I needed a catalytic converter. They charged me $610.07. Two days later, the truck cut off on me again, and my windows still won't come up. I called several times, but I keep getting the runaround. All I want is my money back, and I never want to do business with Open Lot again. Now my truck isn't starting. I went down to Open Lot for a week straight, and they keep telling me a different story every day. Not only did they not fix my truck, but they put zip ties to hold my air filter together.

Is Open Lot legit?

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds Open Lot to be a trustworthy company. If you're thinking about dealing with Open Lot, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

Open Lot earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Openlotcars.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Openlotcars.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

Openlotcars.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with Open Lot, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Open Lot has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Openlotcars.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The openlotcars.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Open Lot protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Open Lot I bought a car from Open Lot on 9/27 for 11,674.99

I bought a car from Open Lot on 9/27 for 11,674.99. I needed a car and they sold me a 2014 Ford Escape. But they didn't tell me that the car had big problems with the structure. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. Now, seven months later, I found out that the car is not safe for me and my baby. When I tried to trade it in, I found out that it's only worth 1,000 dollars because of the problems. Open Lot didn't tell me about this when I bought it. I still owe almost 11,000 dollars on the car, but it's not even worth 1,000 dollars. My husband called them, but they wouldn't talk to him. They made him wait on hold for an hour and then hung up on him.

Open Lot So, I was browsing ***.com and saw a sweet ride - a 2018 *** for only 12995.00!

So, I was browsing ***,.com and saw a sweet ride - a 2018 *** for only 12995.00! I was pumped to buy it, so I headed over to Open Lot. But let me tell you, their customer service was straight-up garbage. They kept asking for my check stubs, which I didn't have on me, so I bounced. I ended up getting my own financing because I could tell these dudes were sketchy.

The next day, I went back to get a purchase order for my bank. But these clowns wouldn't give me one and said their machine was busted. The salesman did show me the cost of the van with tax, lic a, and doc fees, which is normal. But what's not normal is the 2100.00 in extra fees they couldn't explain. These guys are straight-up crooks and need to be reported to the Attorney General. I bet if I agreed to the extra fees, the printer for the purchase order would have magically started working.

I asked for a purchase order to be emailed to me, but surprise surprise, I never got it. These guys are running a criminal operation and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

Open Lot I got a car from Open Lot on 07/20 and a few days later I saw some weird stuff happening with it

I got a car from Open Lot on 07/20 and a few days later I saw some weird stuff happening with it. I called them up to set up an appointment, but they couldn't see me for a week. I took my car in on 08/03 and on 08/05 they told me it needed a new transmission, but it could still be driven. They said they'd find a new transmission for me and it could take up to 10 days. I called every day for the past 2 and a half weeks, but they never called me back. After waiting for so long, I decided to go down there. The manager said they couldn't find a transmission for my car and offered to give me a different one. We looked at a few cars, but he wasn't there the next day when I came back. The other workers said I had to wait for him to come in. It's been 2 days and he's still not there. I've been trying to get a new transmission, a new car, or a refund for a month, but they've been avoiding me. I'm going to file a small claim. Product_Or_Service: 2014

Open Lot I put $2,500 down on a car to be financed

I put $2,500 down on a car to be financed. The car lot told me I need full coverage to drive off so I added it to a policy that I have a car on in ***. The car I was purchasing was in Nevada. The car lot waited almost a month to inform me that the vehicle has to have Nevada insurance in order for the finance company to give me the loan. So for a second time in less than a month, I purchased insurance but this time in Nevada. The insurance company did not put open lot as the lien holder as requested. Open lot contacted me about the matter and within 48 hours the insurance company resent the documents over with Nevada insurance and with open lot as the lien holder. I spoke to open lot during those 48 hours and not one time did they inform me that my car would be repoed. Instead, they told me that if I get the insurance, they can turn in my application to get the car loan even though I already had the car. Two hours after submitting the documents with open lot as the lien holder, my car was repoed from work. Open lot never answered any more calls, they only replied with a text informing me that they did not know what was going on and that they were contacting the finance company to see what happened. When I talked to the repo recovery business, they told me that open lot issued the car to be repoed even though open lot told me that they were trying to get in touch with whoever assigned my car to be towed away. So open lot seemed to not know anything about the situation but they put in the order to repo my car. My reason for this complaint is I feel like my $2,500 was taken from me and even though I was in contact with open light every day, they never informed me on what I need to do to not get my car taken. Instead, they told me if I get the right insurance everything would be okay and that they were trying to help me. Now I have no car and my money is completely gone. If I never received an actual loan from the finance company, where's my money?
