Nwfitco Gym Review: Sneaky Membership Changes and Unfair Charges
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Nwfitco. I signed up for a year and a half membership back in 2019, right before summer hit. But then Covid came along and everything got shut down. The gym told me they were freezing all accounts until we felt safe to come back, which was a relief for me since I've got three kids and elderly parents to worry about. I figured I'd just wait until things settled down before going back to the gym.
But then I found out that my membership had actually been active the whole time! I missed out on half of what I paid for upfront! I was so upset that I decided not to renew my membership when it expired. And that was that, or so I thought.
Fast forward to this month, December 2021, almost two years since I last set foot in that gym. I noticed a charge on my account that I didn't recognize. When I looked into it, I realized that Nwfitco had switched my membership to month-to-month without my permission and had been charging me for nine months without me even noticing! When I called to complain and ask for a refund, they told me that they had sent out a generic email to all members about the change. But I never got that email! And now they won't give me my money back.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. If you absolutely have to use it, pay in cash so they can't pull this kind of sneaky stuff on you. I regret ever giving them my debit card information.
