I bought one pair of earrings, and four sterling silver rings. Many auction houses will ship for about $8.95 to $15.95 through The USPS in a small $5.95 flat rate box. N&R sent me an invoice for $30 shipping. Finally, to resolve, I settled at $19.95. I have had to email once a week for two or more weeks to get them to ship. The response is that they are more occupied with another consignor. Then, they finally send me the tracking. I ask for which company. I make suggestions how to please clients. I have received a half dozen emails saying that I am cheap, poor, spend no money, make my own clothes, have no friends, no one wants to hang out with me, I live in a one bedroom house, and the insults were continuing until I put her on my block email list.
The lack of professionalism and rudeness from Sharon, the owner, has been astounding. There are so many great auction houses that have great items and collectibles at tremendously fair prices and reasonable shipping. I would strongly recommend that you avoid N&R Auction Gallery in Rockville, MD.
