I have been banking with the SECU since '93...for the past few months I have had the misfortune of encountering a teller that gives me grief every time I go into the bank...I have had to call her supervisor numereous times. The lastest event culminated with the refusal of letting me deposit a check! It is maddening.

I'd be happy if someone at the Butner branch knew how to answer a phone!

I have been a customer of SECU since 1994. I received a letter in the mail last week telling me that I will have to close all my accounts in 30 days because I have run into financial difficulties and entered into a debt management program. This program will pay each of my debts off starting with the smallest one first so unfortunately the SECU credit card is one of the last ones to be paid but it will be paid. Apparently SECU does not settle and will not wait for payment as I was told by one of their representatives. To add insult to injury, my children who have accounts with SECU as well have been notified they must take my name off their accounts if they want to keep their accounts open. I was told this was due to SECU bylaws. I just wanted to let anyone considering opening an account or doing business with SECU to be aware that SECU fine print practices are not customer friendly and should be scrutinized. Buyer Beware!

NCSECU and Members Trust Company mismanaged The Mildred Cole Boyd Revocable Trust and now the MCBRT is somewhere between Sheridan, Wyoming with a sketchy internet company named Still Creek Advisors and some White Collar Criminals in the Triangle area. This situation is well known to several, lawyers, bankers and law enforcement agencies from Sheridan to Raleigh. I'll be taking a screenshot of this post for civil and criminal purposes. Thanks.

The Mildred Cole Boyd Revocable Trust was with NCSECU and a company named Members Trust Company. The Trust documents were forged and many Trust Statutes were ignored. These two companys resigned when I pointed out instances of wrong doing and the MCBRT got sent to Still Creek Advisors in Sheridan, Wyoming. In addition to my parent's life savings being jacked, I haven't heard from or seen my brother, one of the co-trustees with NCSECU and MTC, since January 2018. Millions of credit union members deserve an explanation regarding the relationship between NCSECU and MTC and the MCBRT statutes need to be recognized and enforced. I'm going to screenshot this post for future reference with a number of agencies and jurisdictions. Stephen Cole Boyd is my name and this situation is well known to folks with the SBI, Wake, Durham and Moore County.

I have been a secu customer for about 15yrs. I have referred friends and family member to this bank. I was sold on their professionalism, good customer serves and products. They were the top of the line in my book. I paid off three cars through them and I was able to get money to pay off my dad and sisters funeral, I referred to them as the God Father of banks. But these past three years this bank has went to hell in a hand basket. It seems when they upgraded their lobbies, they down graded their employees. I refinanced my mortgage with this bank and every year my escrow is short by a thousand dollars or more although I receive a tax credit of about $900 and this year I put a few extra dollars into my escrow but it remains short. It is very hard to talk to anyone when phoning in. When they decide to pick up, the staff are eager to past me off to a different department or they become agitated when I ask too many questions or point out a mistake they've made. One staff member yelled at me this week saying " every time you call here, you are rude and disrespectful". My response was "mam, normally when I call, we make small talk about the weather or coming weekend, while your processing my payment". By the end of that call she wanted to be helpful Hilda, too late mam. I guess even when I speaking in a normal voice all she heard was an angry black woman. Hum correction mam " I am a black woman that is concerned about the most important asset in my life, I've worked hard to get the little that I have and I'm not trying to have that taken away due to negligence". Times are hard for everyone but how you treat people during tough times, is who you are. I pray God makes away for me to get away from this bank but until that time come, I pray that this bank gains the foresight and capability to do right by me and other loyal customers.

I was just told by an acquaintance that one of their employees told them that I have lost my condo. I have a home equity line with them. What should I do about it?

Have you heard the expression " like finding a needle in a haystack" well, this is the same when applying for any loan at this credit union? I have been with State Employee Credit Union for over 15 years and can't get any help! They are the worse. I think you would have to be in a certain classification or pay. They say credit doesn't count. That's just like saying hell is cold. This is crazy. You have been with a bank this long and everything is no! no! NO! I can't help you. FED UP!

I'm extremely unhappy with NCSECU's customer service and their bizzare policy on depositing large checks. I recently decided to withdraw a few thousand dollars from a large inheritence that is managed by Fidelity Investments to cover expenses for a new baby on the way. When the check arrived from Fidelity, I went to deposit the check at my local branch in Rolesville and they looked at me like I was a criminal trying to pull a fast one on them. The teller named Jessica told me with a rude, smug look that the funds would not be available for almost three weeks since the check was from out of state! Three weeks?! Is this the 1930's or 2009? I could really care less if the funds were not immediatley available as I wasn't looking to spend the money at all. Now when I try to figure out my balance, I can't figure out which one is the real one. My one account has three balances - a "running balance" an "available balance" and a "current balance." This is a joke. I'm going back to a commercial bank. Paying a $14.00 monthly fee is worth it. I don't get the runaround or attitude from Bank of America. How in the name of God can they claim my check from Fidelity Investments will take 21 days to post to my account? This is not good business and I'm going to pull out and take it all to another bank. I need a P.hd in Quantum Physics to figure out what my balance is.

I will be closing my account with SECU. I attempted to withdraw funds from my account. It goes the process but when its time for my money to dispense it doesn't. It prints out the receipt as if I received my funds. I go to the bank to complain about it and they tell me it is nothing they can do b/c the atm balance was correct. I asked if they can review the tape so that they can see I did not receive money and she tells me the camera does not pick up that. So my question is what the heck the camera is for to take pictures of your face only. I am very dissatisfied with them. This is not customer service at all.
