MoiMooi Spa review: Deceitful, not credible, unprofessional, lies to remove poor review post

MoiMooi contacted me regarding a promotion/special that comprised 5 treatments per month for 12 months to the value of R2k.

Following the payment, I tried to make online bookings - without any success. After several attempts, I decided to contact them and ask for a refund. I was informed the money paid is NON-REFUNDABLE. This was not communicated at any time, not when the promotion was marketed, nor when the promotion information was forwarded by email. They are misleading people and are not truthful.

In addition, when you contact them telephonically you have to phone several times to get through to someone to speak to in order to make a booking. This is frustrating and time-consuming because their online system is not working. Depending on whom you speak to there are different instructions on when to book. This is a way for them to force you to pay an additional R1ktoo secure block booking.

When you eventually – after numerous phone calls - do get someone to assist with an appointment/booking for a message the towels are not clean and fresh.

Seeing that the money is NON-REFUNDABLE I tried to make another booking – once again unsuccessful

Following my review of MoiMooi this morning (15 November 2022), I received a phone call from the MoiMooi Cape Town Office. The woman threatened me that if I do not retract my review on Hallo Peter immediately their legal department will pursue a Defamation of Character Lawsuit of R 400k against me. She also stated that my account (for which I paid R2k) would be suspended with immediate effect. I am not clear if they are going to refund me or not, as she mentioned something about deducting the amount for treatments received. I could not hear properly as she threatened and screamed and shouted over the phone and barely gave me an opportunity to speak, which was followed by putting the phone down in my ear if I attempted to raise my voice to state my case.

I informed the woman that the threats she made towards me will be posted on Hallopeter to which she replied it will be a good thing that other people can see what happens to a person that gives them/MoiMooi a negative review!

In order to get the poor review removed from Hallo Peter MoiMooi got Hallopeter to withdraw my review by informing them I am an ex-employee. I received a message from Hallopeter stating this much: The review on MoiMooi was removed as you are an ex-employee and therefore not permitted to write about a former employer.

I can assure you I AM NOT AN EX-EMPLYEE OF MOIMOOI.

I contacted Hallopeter in this regard.

This once again speaks volumes to the character and poor credibility of MoiMooi.
