They did exactly what they promised and were ahead of time. The crew of 7 men were all professional and worked equally hard. The drivers were excellent representatives of the company. They went beyond what was expected without hesitation.

Would not recommend. They broke my adjustable bed. I told them about it. The owner, ***, came to see it and said he would get back to me in a few days when he could return. Never heard from him again. The movers also lost the power cord for the elliptical.

These guys were awesome! They treated my furniture like it was theirs. They were super professional, worked really hard, and finished the job on time. They wrapped the furniture to make sure it didn't get damaged. The price was really fair and reasonable! I would totally hire them again.

The move was easy to set up and I could get answers to questions prior to the move. The day of the move was extremely hot and humid, but the crew did their job without complaint and very professionally. They were polite and well groomed. We would highly recommend this company to anyone. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Mike Hammer's Local Moving moved us from *** to Lake of the Ozarks. I have never had such a wonderful, efficient, polite, and organized team as the ones we had with *** moving. Very professional, on time, and caring movers! I chose them after reading other reviews online, so am more than happy to add my own! If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Mike Hammer's Local Moving was a real disappointment. They managed to damage my beautiful oak stairs and break numerous pieces of glass that were carefully packed in boxes. To make matters worse, they carelessly placed the boxes in the wrong rooms, despite the clear labels indicating where they should go. I even took the time to send Mike some photos of the damage to my precious oak stairway, hoping for a resolution. However, he promised to call me back but has since ignored all my phone calls and texts. This kind of behavior is simply unacceptable. It seems like Mike is more interested in collecting payment for the job rather than taking responsibility for the damages caused to my property.

Mike H Moving took a ton of stress out of our move into a new house. They were super smart and professional. They were fast and good, but also careful not to break furniture, walls, or trim at the new house. They even unloaded a POD unit that they didn't pack at the new address. If you need a good, reliable, local moving company, I would totally recommend them. 10/10

Moving is always stressful, but we had the absolute BEST experience with Mike Hammer's Local Moving. The estimate was upfront and completely accurate on our moving day. The crew was wonderfully professional and personable, and they arrived on time, worked efficiently, and took great care of our belongings. Nothing was damaged, which was a relief after our previous move with another company three years ago. Yikes! We wish we had known about this company back then. We highly recommend Mike Hammer's Local Moving and their excellent crew.

Horrible experience. Worst moving company. Quote was completly wrong (understandable due to Covid). Movers were friendly (only reason for a two star) but absolutely untrained. They were just 5 young strong guys who could lift stuff. They didn't know HOW to move or pack anything well. I'll never forget seeing my children's labeled "Heirloom" boxes smashed under 4 other boxes crammed into the bottom of the truck. We have countless items broken as well as ceilings and walls scraped. We were ignored by Mike after our move when we tried to contact him. Do not use this company!

What a great moving company! The staff is so friendly, professional, and efficient. They really delivered on their promises. The movers were respectful and I will definitely recommend *** Moving to everyone I know. Even during the "covid-19" pandemic, they have a real person answering the phone right away. It's amazing! The estimator and the team that helped with the loading and unloading were fantastic. They paid close attention to all the details and made sure everything went smoothly. We had a few changes during our move, but our contact, ***, was always ready to help and make things happen for us. This team really knows what they're doing. Great job! We're so grateful for your help!

I never been more disappointed in a company than I am with Mike Hammer Moving. We had them move our piano yesterday, and it was one of the most unprofessional encounters I have ever experienced. 1. They arrived at our house, and one of the movers immediately requested to use my bathroom. (I was surprised at this as we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic but allowed him to use it.) I walked into the bathroom after he was finished to find urine splashed on the seat and floor (in a bathroom which had just been deep-cleaned for our move) and he had clearly not even attempted to clean it up. 2. The two movers seemed less than knowledge about their work in moving our piano (a gift from my grandmother) as they struggled to move the small console up and down a set of three stairs. 3. And finally, they audibly and clearly used profanity as they worked to move the piano in front of my two young daughters who were also present and watching them. I directly called Michael H (the owner of the company) to voice my concerns about these issues. He responded apathetically and refused to offer even a slight discount in their (overpriced) charge for the move, even in light of all of these extremely unprofessional and undesirable circumstances. This company clearly does not have care or concern for their customer's experience, and I will never again use them for any reason.

Mike Hammer Moving Company moved my household from Overland Park, Kansas to Saint Joseph, Missouri on March 03. The movers, unfortunately, caused some damage to my oak stairway while using dollies. They scraped the stairs without putting any protective measures in place to prevent such damage. I reached out to Mike Hammer and he requested that I send him photos of the damage. I promptly sent the photos, but I haven't received any response or returned phone calls from him since then.

In addition to the stairway mishap, the movers also broke several glasses, plates, and mirrors. To make matters worse, the driver of the truck drove onto my grass, leaving deep ruts with the front tires. I paid a total of $3500 for the moving service and was informed that the company is insured for any damages that may occur.

I kindly request that Mike Hammer Moving takes responsibility for the expenses incurred due to the damages caused to my property.

We used Mike Hammer's Local Moving to move from a bigger house to a smaller one. We sent them pictures of all the stuff we wanted moved and they gave us an estimate. As the move got closer, we called and finalized everything and told them we'd have more boxes and tubs than we thought at first. On the day of the move, the guys left a bunch of things at our house that we had asked them many times to take. They also got mad and used bad words when they went to take apart stuff, even though we told them beforehand. At the new place, they didn't even try to put things back together or carry a lot of the big furniture upstairs. They charged us for their hour-long lunch break and the time it took to move, so it ended up being double the estimate. I called Mike to tell him how disappointed I was, but he had excuses for everything and didn't seem like he wanted to make things right. Now he's not responding or trying to fix anything.

I hired Mike Hammer moving to help me with my move from an apartment to a home. My furniture set was damaged in the move. I work over 40 hours a week as a nurse. I also live alone. Because of my strenuous work schedule and living alone, I wasn't able to unpack until about 3 weeks after the move. I was sleeping on my couch until I found time to unpack and arrange things. At that time, I noticed my upholstered bed was torn in multiple areas at the base and the dresser was scratched as well. I bought the set new and it was set up in the other home I moved from. When I called Mike about the damaged, he said it had been too long since my move to repair the damage, but he would be willing to give me $100 dollars to compensate if I emailed pictures of the damage and furniture. I did this and he has not responded. Not only was my furniture damaged, but he lied about reimbursing. Because of this, I have no choice but to file a complaint because the company is not honest, which is very poor business practice.

We hired this company to move us on 7/29. Mike Hammer, the owner, came to our home to view what was to be moved. He saw our fancy dining table and chairs, which are made of solid mahogany and have been moved multiple times without any damage. They were well protected during the move with double furniture pads to prevent scratches and dents. However, when we unwrapped them in our new home, we noticed two gouge areas on opposite ends of the table top. I told Mr. Hammer about this, but he hasn't shown any interest in resolving the issue.

During the initial viewing, I asked about insurance and he said it was included in the quote. He assured me that if anything broke or got damaged, it would be fixed or replaced. Unfortunately, besides the table top, our crew also dropped our 1.5-year-old refrigerator, worth $4000, on its side in the driveway, causing damage to the corner. Additionally, a table lamp was completely broken and a solid wood coffee table got scratched on the surface. I contacted the company and spoke to someone named ***, I think. They promised to look into it and get back to me the next day, but they never did. I even spoke directly to Mike Hammer and sent him pictures of the dining table on 7/19, but he also failed to follow up. I've sent at least two emails about the damage, but no one from their company has responded. It seems like they don't care at all about the damaged items and have no intention of resolving the issue.

We are extremely dissatisfied with their lack of responsibility and concern. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could intervene, as they are ignoring my attempts to communicate and seem to be avoiding taking responsibility for the damage that occurred.
