Midas review: Service rip off! Rude store manager!

Anil, the supervisor, at 506 golf road Schaumburg IL is money hungry and tries to get over on people. I went in for starter issues with my car ON 2/25/21. I knew it was the starter, however, anil told me his guys tested the starter, battery and alternator. They all were fine. He then suggested I get new spark plugs, some type of car cleaner and a new air filter to help the car with its starting issues which totaled 500.00, I paid the 500.00. The very next day, I had an issue with my car starting. Took the car back on 2/26/2021 and was told it was the starter. Anil never apologized and felt no remorse. He wanted me to pay an additional 600 for a starter on top of what I paid the day before. Don't forget, Anil told me my starter was fine the first day I came to his shop. His "discount" was taking $100 off the starter price. Why would I want to do any more business with you when I'm out of money because of you? He got upset because I was upset (of the fact that I spent $500 for no reason when I could have paid $600 in the beginning if he knew what he was talking about) and refused to fix the issue. We are in a pandemic! People don't have money just sitting around to give out. I went to what I thought was an expert but he had no clue what he was talking about. His error cost me $500 and i'm still left with a bad starter. I'm livid. I'm a mom and a graduate student, I can't afford situations like this. Social media, friends and family will hear about this and will have them spread the word not to go to this location.
