This building and purchasing process was a nightmare. I am sure there are others that have experienced same problems with this builder. I was lied to and they pressured me into closing - threatened me with losing my deposit, stating there was no problem with potential bankruptcy- they lied. They were already in the process of filing when I closed on my home. His portion of taxes were left unpaid despite the proration agreement signed and witnessed at closing. I don't know why builders can bail out as Mike Aranda did? The average population can not bail out of their bills when they are left with unpaid taxes and costly repairs on a home that were supposed to be addressed one year ago-before closing. Something needs to be done!

Do you want to file suit against him?- I was advised to do so and I plan to within next 90 days. I was advised by tax law to settle my problem with taxes in small claims court. Randy Mc Clurg showed up in small claims court and of course Mike Aranda gets away with a no show. Randy's argument is that he" was just an employee and no longer works for EH Building group" Even though He signed all documents in my mortgage agreement including the tax proration and the contract. I know if I sign something I would be accountable for my signature and my word even if it was 10 years later and the hospital was out of business. He laughs like a fool doing dirty work for Mike Aranda and even had the nerve to countersue for his expenses from Texas. Hope people in Texas get word... What scammers! I don't know how they sleep at night. I hope that justice is served at least people should know who they are doing business. I do need the money I over spent in taxes and for costly repairs in my home and hope to get it. There is a site that exposes these type of business owners as well.
Let me know if you are interested in a class action. I am looking into it.

In April of 2007 I won a contest in which the prize was a villa that was to be provided by Michael Aranda and his development company. I'm sure it will come as no suprise that Mr. Aranda and company never made good on the prize. I believe that Mr. Aranda just another arrogant developer with grand schemes to separate hard working people from their money. It interesting to note that he and his wife donated two million dollars worth of Russian Art, but can't make good on a contest they sponsored or provide quality homes they promised to buyers who spent good money. Karma is a powerful force. What goes around, comes around.

Here is the link to the website of Management Group 1 of Florida, Inc. run by "Junior" Michael D. Aranda although Jacob Meyer of EH Building Group is the General Manager of MG1: http://www.managementgroup1.com/about.php

Interestingly in December 2007 Michael David Aranda removed himself as Officer of the corporation replacing himself with his wife Jessica yet he remains 100% shareholder and owner: http://www.sunbiz.org/pdf/12758686.pdf
