I had my transplant done on 05/3/96 by MHR in Oak Brook IL I followed there directions and did my followups. I kept complaining about the poor results, I was told to wait it will fill in. I have not had one person suspect that I had a transplant, why would they it doesn't look like I had anything done. I have sent letter to customer service and at first someone did call and told me to send him pictures. After I sent the pictures, MHR never called again and I have sent two letter s since. They will not respond. If fact one of their sales persons called me to offer me more grafts at a discount. I told her you have to be kidding and told her my bad experience. She stated someone will call be back in 24 hours in regards to my complaints. Guess what no one called me Does that surprise anyone. MHR is a rip off Dont waste your money There shoud be a class action law suit

I have had a transplant 3 wks ago my scar is hardly visible and the grafts have healed nicely? Dr Katona was very professional and so was his staff he must of got a lot better since then!

Hi all, Same thing here.
I had my procedure in Salt Lake City Utah in 2007 with Dr Zufelt who is no longer with MHR (opened his own clinic).
I had a procedure for 2000 grafts and paid 8000 and after I complained they did a second free procedure for 500 grafts. I have some hair in the front but my crown never improved.
I regret having done this since now I cannot buzz my hair because of that ugly scar across my head.
I am looking into tattoing on it with a new technic for people with Hair transplant scars.
Good luck guys!

Just stay away from this Dr.Arthur Katona of MHR in Oakbrook. He is the worst transplant surgeon imaginable. I had a surgery back in 2004 and it has been a nightmare since. I was better off without his pluggy hair transplant. The worst thing was the strip scar he left - it is so wide and scary that people are literally shocked when they see it. I have other friends who got a strip surgery done, even in places like India, and their strip scars are so much better than mine. I bumped into this post because after 8 years, I am looking for a hair transplant surgeon who can conceal my strip scar. Thats all I want now. And I paid $8000 for 2000 grafts back then. I have no idea if he ever did get 2000 grafts because I have friends who've got much better coverage for lot less grafts.

I completely agree. I had a procedure done in September 2008 (I was 25 at the time and wanted to stop my minor hair loss) and it actually made things worse from stress loss. My scalp looks irrated and the results weren't even close to being what I was told. Dr. Katona told me my hairline would be restored when in actuality it looks like dolls hair and the density wasn't even close to the pics I was shown. I told him I wanted a solid hairline and was assured I'd get what I expected. After $5000 I completely regret my decision as my hairline actually looked better before!
