My experience with Melaninful (melaninful.net) has been disappointing and frustrating. I placed an order for a Civil rights hoodie and a lion face wallet for a total of $88. However, it has been over a month since I placed my order and I have yet to receive my items. Instead, I received two hoodies that I did not order on February 15. Not only were these items not what I ordered, but they were also of a lesser value than what I paid for.

To make matters worse, the only communication I have had with the company has been via email with someone named Tashard. There is no phone number listed for customer support, which makes it difficult to get a timely response and find a solution to the issue. I don't know what position Tashard holds in the company, but I do know that they have not been able to provide me with a satisfactory resolution to this problem.

As a customer of color, I feel like this company is taking advantage of my desire to support black-owned businesses. Instead of receiving quality merchandise that I paid for, I have been left with the impression that Melaninful is a scam. It seems that their strategy is to make people of color purchase their items and then make it difficult for them to get a refund or the items that they ordered.
