As a person who wants to support black owned companies, I was hoping for a positive experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. My first interaction was already a hassle when I made contact with them about an issue that I faced. Even after they directed me on how to handle it, I still ended up suffering a penalty that was completely avoidable.

What further disappointed me was the lack of compensation or effort to make things right by the company. While the sewing was respectable, I would never have paid the original asking price for a product of such low quality. It's worth mentioning that I've had significantly better experiences purchasing African-inspired garments from Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised by their use of genuine African wax print materials and the overall quality of the product. Compared to the overpriced offering from Melaninful, it was a substantial improvement and more reasonably priced.

In summary, I would caution against purchasing from Melaninful or any site that heavily advertises on Instagram. The quality of the product is poor, sourcing questionable, and price point unjustifiable. With so many Black-owned businesses offering authentic Ankara and wax print material, it's not worth the risk to settle for a cheaper alternative. My grandson was recently upset by a film he saw that showed white men brutally beating Black protesters during the fight for civil rights. It was a hard conversation to have with a young boy, but we explained to him that despite the violence and oppression, our Black Men continued to fight for their rights and freedoms.

But we also reminded him of the many contributions that Black people have made to our country. We explained to him that it takes tremendous strength and intelligence to overcome oppression and create change. This is why I was so pleased to see the wide variety of products available on Melaninful's website, from t-shirts and sweaters to phone cases and water bottles. It is a powerful message to our youth that they can be proud of their Black identity and history, and that they too have the power to create change in their own lives and communities.

In conclusion, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Melaninful for providing such an inspirational and uplifting experience for me and my family. While it is based in China, this does not take away from the value of the company's mission. In fact, supporting businesses that celebrate African culture is essential to promoting awareness and education of African-inspired themes.

As a black person, I can attest to the quality of Melaninful's products. In particular, I have purchased seven hoodies from the company, and each one has exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that my most recent purchase, the Malcolm X Typo all over hoody, did not look like the picture on the screen. However, I was able to repurpose it as a work hoody.

It is also worth noting that since the products are shipped from China, there can be delays due to weather and shipping costs. For my most recent order, it took about a month to arrive. While this may seem long to some, it is important to remember that these products are coming from across the globe.

Besides that, Melaninful is an excellent company to do business with. Unlike other brands that offer products like Jordans that do not promote African culture, Melaninful's products are specifically designed to celebrate African themes. Therefore, regardless of whether or not the company is black-owned, it is important to support them as they offer a product that truly represents us. In conclusion, if you want to express your love for African culture through fashion, then Melaninful should be at the top of your list.

The items appeared to have graphics that were simply pressed onto the fabric, leaving visible squares where the screen was pressed. Additionally, the quality of the shirts and sweatshirts were quite thin and not worth the high prices.

Despite reaching out to Melaninful on May 6th and May 11th to inquire about tracking, I was initially ignored before eventually receiving tracking # LS333960180CN. Unfortunately, when I clicked on the link, I discovered that the tracking info indicated that my order had not yet shipped.

After several days of waiting for a response, Melaninful finally got back to me and informed me that their products are made-to-order and that I should allow 7-10 business days to receive tracking information, and 2-4 weeks for delivery in total. While this was a frustrating delay, I still held out hope that my order would eventually arrive.

Sadly, on May 21st, I received another email from Melaninful - this time with a copy of an undated letter from United States Post Office in Portland. This letter stated that my order had arrived, but had been damaged in transit and it was up to the shipper to file a claim.

At that point, I decided to request a refund from Melaninful and let them know that it was up to them to file a claim and be compensated. Unfortunately, despite several attempts to contact the company, I have not received any further communication or my ordered item, nor have I received a refund.
