I went to Medical Offices of Manhattan last December for my yearly check up. I told the Doc that I don't want any other procedures besides the check up. But then I got a bill in the mail for a procedure that I didn't ask for and shouldn't have gotten. The Doc didn't even mention it was another procedure. I called billing about the bill and they said to dispute it. But I didn't get any response for 6 months and I followed up 6 times. Then I got a letter from a law firm/Debt Collector without even hearing back from MOM. This medical office is like a factory for patients and they've done this to many other people. How is it even legal in NY/US for doctors to add extra tests without telling people and then not answering them?

so I got this email from Medical Offices of Manhattan talkin' 'bout some automated payment they gonna process for me not visitin' the doc in 2 years. Like, what? They tryna charge my card without me even knowin'? I only found it 'cause I checked my spam folder. That's some shady stuff, man. Don't trust 'em.

I told them to take my credit card info off their files cuz I don't trust them and they charged me for the wrong stuff. I don't want them to charge me without showing me what they're charging me for. I asked them in person and they said they would do it, but then they charged my card again the next week. I called and they said to email them. I did, but they said they can't take it off. I emailed them again and told them to take it off cuz I didn't say they could use my card. They haven't said anything back.

I went to the Medical Offices of Manhattan on July 20, 2022 to get some school paperwork filled out. The info was already in my charts by D.O. ***. They charged me $225.00 for this, which my insurance didn't cover. They didn't tell me about the charge beforehand. I'm writing this complaint because they should have been more transparent about the cost. As a customer, I have the right to know how much I'm going to be charged before I get the service. This isn't the first time they've charged me for something that might not be covered by insurance. They should tell everyone about the services and charges.

The Medical Office of Manhattan charged me $60.00 too much. I was only supposed to pay $30.00, but they messed up. They also took money from me without asking. They got paid by my insurance, but still charged me. They sent me to see a different person than I wanted to see. I never even met the doctor I wanted to see. It's not good because patients need help and this office is not helping. I went to a different doctor and they said this office is not good. They charged my insurance for a visit I didn't even have. It's really hard to talk to them on the phone. They are not good and someone should do something about it.

I went to Medical Offices of Manhattan for a regular check-up. The doctor checked me out and said he found a heart murmur. He said I needed an ECG, which they did right then and there. I've had heart tests before, but no one ever told me I had a problem. I was worried. They didn't tell me if it would cost anything or if it was part of the check-up. They did the ECG and my insurance got billed $1,200. I have to pay $693.15 for a test I didn't need. They should have told me how much it would cost before they did it. I looked on *** and other sites and it seems like they do this to everyone. They scare you into getting a test you don't need. That's not right. It makes it hard to trust your doctor when you think they're just trying to make money.

So, I had a bad experience with Medical Offices of Manhattan. I found out that other people had the same problem with them. They charged us a lot of money for procedures that we didn't need. They told us that they were in our insurance network, but they weren't. They didn't explain why we needed the procedures. They charged us $1250 for them. We only found out about this when we got a letter from a collection agency.

I went to see this doctor on March 13 for a health issue. I found their info on *** and they said they take my health insurance. But then I got a bill for $313.06 and my insurance said they're out of network. I called the doctor's office and they said they're in network with my Empire Plan NYSHIP, but my insurance still says they're out of network. It's not fair that they're giving wrong info to patients and making us pay for it. Health insurance is so confusing and they're just trying to confuse us more. I don't wanna pay this bill and I need help fixing this. It's not fair that they're messing with my money like this.

I went to MOM on December 10, 2022 for my yearly check-up. They sent two claims to my insurance, one in-network and one out-of-network, both for the same thing. My insurance paid for the in-network claim, but I had to pay $90.50 for something that wasn't preventative. They didn't tell me about this charge beforehand. I tried to get them to dismiss the duplicate claim, but they didn't listen. They charged my credit card for the outstanding balance of $192.26, even though I asked them to wait until my insurance dealt with it. They even threatened to send it to collections. They got paid twice for the same visit, and I can't get a refund. I've tried to contact the billing department many times, but no luck. I know I'm not the only one with billing problems, and I think they need to be investigated. Please help me out.

I went to Medical Offices of Manhattan to get my physical for med school. I went on 5/20/22 and gave him the forms from my school. He ordered the wrong blood test so I had to come BACK for the correct test on 5/24/22. Now they are charging me $89 for that visit even though I only went back because of the doctor's mistake. They are threatening to send me to collections over this bill and I am trying to contact them to explain why this was bad billing on their part. I called them on 6/29/22 to discuss these charges, got forced to leave a message, and never heard back. I then called again on 7/14/22 and spoke to someone who said she would look into it, and then never got back to me. I called again on 7/20/22 and left a message and haven't heard back. And I called again on 7/22/22 and left a message and still haven't heard back. I also sent an email on 7/22/22 listing all the times I have contacted them and still haven't heard back as of 7/27/22. I need them to reach out to me and discuss this billing with me and either not charge me for their error or tell me to their face that they are still going to charge me for their doctor's mistake.
