Max Agency Waste of Time and Money

Extremely disappointed. We started the process in October of 2022. Involved driving to Oakville for 4 weekends to complete a drama course. Paying over $1000 to have photos taken. By the time the process was complete, it was January. We heard nothing by May, and when I inquired I was told it was the slow season. After continuing to fill in the weekly 'availability' for an entire year, we had only received a few notices that her name was submitted for a potential audition. No one ever called. It is now March 2024 - NOT ONE experience for us. When we signed on, we were told she was exactly what they were looking for. We are asked constantly if my daughter is a model - and yet MAX agency was a complete disappointment for us. It was a waste of time and money, and overall a frustrating disappointing experience. My advice if you are hoping to get into modelling - don't waste your time with this agency.

Max Agency max agency auditions

I have been with them for over 2 years, yet I still have not been given a single audition. I am extremely disappointed. I have landed my own auditions by myself, without the help of this "agency". Multiple sources have confirmed that Max Agency is indeed a terrible agency, and that they just charge without actually giving you auditions. The photos were ridiculously expensive- in the thousands. I have spent over 3000 dollars here at max agency, with nothing in return. Highly disappointed.

Max Agency models

Hello,
My daughter joined max agency in March 2018. At first they were very attentive to us to do everything to get us to sign. Making you fee like they can guarantee you work. Then once we spent all the money for pictures and cards. We haven't heard from them again. I have tried several times to get into contact with someone and nothing.

Make sure you do you homework before you spend big money and sign with someone.

Max Agency Auditions

Max agency is a real agency. My friend is with them and now she does all the West 49 campaigns. She does all their webcasts and stuff, and she did all their commercials last summer.I don't usually trust agencies, but seeing is believing... She's really pretty and I know they're pretty selective.

So far so good. In the sense that the agent always tells me what's next in the process. I had my pics taken with Zvonko and really liked it :). The agency is legit, their work is legit, the photographer is legit. I just paid to have my compost cards done, yes I paid but I don't understand the negative reviews __ of course, if you do the shoot, don't get the compost cards, don't expect to get calls for auditions. It's because they want actors who re serious in getting in this business. If you don't agree to everything then tough luck, shut up and stop complaining. They're a legit business, if you're not getting calls for an auditions it's either you didn't pay for say compost cards or heck you're not what's needed for the audition. Seriously just stop nagging, grow up and move on.

total scam! Im a photographer. My daughter was recommended to them through a freind. Of course they wanted "their" photographers to take the pics. Fine. I thought maybe this was the right of passage. I dropped $2, 000.00 there. They only sent my daughter on ONE go-see in a YEAR and it was for actors, not models, looking for 30 year age range (my daughter was 18 at the time) . After I asked for her pics on a disk. They conveniently misplaced the disk. I bugged them for some time, lots of excuses, NO DISK. NO REFUND, NO WORK!

Well they just accepted me and im about to sign with them. I have been told that everything is free with them(registration and classes) except for my photos. I have to pay for my own photo's because i own them and i can take them with me if i decide to leave MAX AGENCY in the end so it makes sence. They did recomend photographers i should go to because i get a discount if i book through the agency. From the photographers they showed me they cost between $690-$1300 and it my choice who i pick. I dont feel like its a scam because i have shopped around and other agencys have asked my for MUCH MUCH more money to register with them...GOOD LUCK TO U ALL THO...I DO HOPE ITS NOT A SCAM MYSELF.

Well, think maybe I'm a little bitter - especially if this agency was previously spelled with two 'x's joined in 2009, charged me over $500 for awful, unuseable pictures that I had to fight for 6 months to get hold of (but which in the end were useless 😳 I admit I'm a bit of a pushover and non-dominant so when the lady who was interviewing me about my lack of enthusiasm for paying around the $200 mark for flyers ( after I had paid the original fee) said in an interview - well, what are you here for then? I felt violated then and feel violated now . I guess that is all.

I thought I would leave a comment here because I work with Max Agency and they have been great to me (I am an actor), it's weird to me that my agency is being called a scam. Every agency in Toronto is going to make you pay for your own photos (they are a few exceptions, but these agencies only take on seasoned actors and models). Unless you look like Naomi Campbell then nobody will invest in you if you won't even invest in yourself. I'm not sure why people are so confused about this concept... Most people that pursue this path are not as invested as they initially think. If every agency fronted the cost for a portfolio and then the actor decides that they don't want/or can't miss work/school for this audition or if the weather isn't great and they don't feel like going out in the snow to go to a 15 min audition all the way downtown. They agency would be operating at a loss. Agencies don't take on people and ignore them after, what would be the point? They can 'scam' you AND still submit you for auditions, truth is you are probably being submitted to auditions but aren't getting booked and there is nothing an agent can do for you in that case. You just have to accept it and try another career or you have to keep fighting to make it in this very tough business. People have such skewed perspectives about the entertainment industry. Did you forget that even the biggest A-listers had to struggle for several years to get work? Did you forget that even they had to work to afford their portfolios and acting classes? You don't just get handed a steady acting career, you have to work at it and spend money on yourself.

I am very impressed with Max agency! The staff is outstanding in their professionalism, in their knowledge of the industry and in their ability to communicate with their clients. I have only been with this agency for one week -- and already their proactiveness in ensuring that their clients are exposed to the industry and to auditions, their diligence in providing and gathering accurate information, and their adeptness in preparing their candidates for success is truly unparalleled. I feel very thanful to be with this agency, and I can already state that I highly recommend their professional services to anyone who is committed to hard work and dedication.

its a scam they ripped me off 1400$ for a photoshoot and comp cards. the photographer emailed me saying he quit and in the email HE gave me the pics which max LOST and said that he only received 100 for the shoot from the agency. they called me in for an audition which was posted on their website which they cancelled on me 2 days before. They still didn't take it down from the website. We have had to wait 1 hour for a sceduled meeting and the guy did not ever apologize for the wait. They're a huge scam they will take money from a student and not give you anything in return.

If you want the truth then call the union, ask them if this agency is reputable. Anyone can post that they are good if they work there and want to look good. I have also read the posts. It's the MAX people who keep mentioning other peoples names. Everyone else is trying to get people to check this agency out. It seems everytime someone tells a horror story about them, then someone comes on talking about other people. no one cares. Look they own the school, have an in with the photographers hire people at the school who are not really casting anything anymore "ustabe's" ha ha. So spend your money if you want and shut up about it. All these good posts about this agency are from people who work at the desk's in the offices of the companies that are making money of us. Don't fall for this.

I'm with MAX Agency...Let me help clarify. The staff is reallyfriendly everytime I go in to pick up my cheques. They usually talk to me about bookings for a few mins, if they're not too busy. Yes, they interact with me a lot, and they send me to as many auditions as they can. Just remember there are diff categories for everyone, so obviously there are only so many auditions for each category. Honestly, your best bet is to just go in and talk to them. They are nice people and they've been good to me. I have no reason to switch.

I wanted to ask, how can you tell the booking agents really care?
Do they interact with you a lot?
How often do they send auditions your way?
How often do you land jobs from these auditions?
How much do these jobs usually pay?
Have you been able to make a living through this?
How many jobs have you gotten during the three years?
Why haven't you switched agencies?
Please do answer as it would help me a lot!

Waiting anxiously...

Hey guys

I just noticed a lot of negative reviews on this website about the same agency you are talking about. I am really confused now and I dont know who to believe. When I read the positive comments I was excited becuase I see that very rarely. Most of the times I just see people complaining about agencies and calling them scams. And now I've found threads in this website saying the same thing over and over again as well. To be honest, the thread is a bit psychotic because people are writing long essays which dont make a lot of sense. They make this company sound like a mafia or something. if you guys are really with this agency do you have a clue about why people are complaining?

Its weird to note that most of these posts are not even from people who have worked with the agency. They are just talking about general stuff and some lady's name keeps coming up over and over in the discussion. It seems kinda warped as if its the same person talking but why would anyone waste their time like this on a company especially if they are not directly associated and none of these people are claiming to be associated either.

I know I am going on and on but the stuff in those other threads sounded kinda crazy and i didnt want to post there and start more craziness. You people sound more sane and are just directly talking about your experiences. So please get in touch with me and let me know how to contact you. I have a lot of questions to ask and I need help.

I could directly go to the Max website and ask but I'd rather get a neutral opinion so I am posting here.

Thanks for reading and i hope i get a reply

They have been in business so long and they have just now got a couple of jobs for people. Wow that is so great. Look everyone, take it from me I used to work for them and I am indirectly related to the "said" people. Run don't walk. They are out for money and can not offer any great careers. Call Actra and ask if they are good or not see what they say. They have another company in St. Catherines that is doing the same thing. Bad Bad Bad. But I am waisting my time because half of these great posts are from them.

Wow that is pretty awesome!
She got to work on their television commercials and they have posted the commercial on this link so they can't be lying about it. Besides if they lie on their official blog, they are legally liable, right?
She got paid only a couple of thousand for this?
But I understand your point about this not being any of your business. I can see from their blog that this is just one of the success stories and there are many others. I would really like to directly get in touch with some of their talent and ask how difficult all of this was. But they do get work for people and promote them. How long have they been around?

Hi sharon.
I saw your post and I know exactly what you're going through...I went to four or five agencies with my daughter before I picked MAX. One of them was asking me for $1800 on the spot, another one told me $100 a month. Most of them made me feel uncomfortable. Max was my favourite out of the one's i saw and so far they've been great. They were honest, they couldn't garantee work (NO agency can...if they do its a scam!). But I did get bookings! I don't exactly feel comfortable sending you my personal info, but I can redirect you to their blog..The best thing I can say, is maybe do some more research or just call them directly. They're friendly. I hope this was somewhat useful.

MAX AGENCY IS THE WORST they hire people to go online and write good reviews because almost all of the reviews are negative. my sister auditioned for max and they said they would call us in 2 days. it had been four days and we did not hear from them. then my mom called them and asked if they would call. the agency said they would call back in 5 minutes. it has been almost 2 months and we still heard nothing. and the woman who runs it is so negative. she spends most of her time smoking. i live close in the area where max is located. she was smoking for about 1 hour. TRUST ME DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I wouldn't recommend Max to anyone I know. They accept everybody who pays them (no matter if a person has a talent or not). It's simply collecting money. And no, it's not for free. It costed $1400 for my daughter to be signed with them. ("pictures for portfolio"). Then we had to check every week and during a contract year with them we never got any calls. We got emails about submissions for some projects, but never a call from anyone. Maybe my daughter was not too good for any of those projects. But the agency with real professionals are there to somehow explain (maybe not in front of a child, but to a parent) so that families don't waste their money. If they were professionals, they should've known if there is a possibility for a child to get a call or not. When you sign your child for something like that, you give child a hope. For the whole year we never got any calls from Max to somehow support us with expectation. They just got what they wanted from us-money and forgot about us. And then when the contract was over they were asking us to renew it. To put my daughter through that again! I would never do that to her and never recommend Max to anyone.

for every 5 actors agencies represent 4 should be working at any given time if the ratiao isn't there then it might not be that they are a scam it might be that they don't have a good connection with the people who hire for film, tv, print, etc.

there will always be modeling agencies that are taking money from people. modeling agencies have a high rate of taking money and not giving anything in return because there will always be people that think they might make it.

nothing that is posted on this site is new and nothing on this board is unique. it's been going on for years. you just have to be a smart consumer.

if the owners of all the companies are posting then that is normal not shocking they are trying to save their rep. big deal. i have read all the posts and when i sign off i won't remember or care about any of it.

modeling agencies are what they are it's the people who pay that are wrong not the people who own the modeling agencies. and if an agency owns a school for teaching actors then they are just making more money i will say it twice it's the people who want to pay them that are out the money but they paid and they need to just take responsibility.

stop posting with phony names post with real names and then people might believe you that goes for all posters

MAX and Universal Academy of Acting are the greatest and I know the photographers they use. They are the best people. they are awsom

MAX Agency only wants people to take the classes because they really care about actors and they want actors to get the auditions.

All the posters are probably actors that can't get work or people who can't get into MAX or Universal Academy of Acting. I love the girl that takes care of the Academy she gives great advice. She has been in this business for years so she knows what she is talking about. I can't remember her name but she is great.

I was told that the owner is a big producer and does movies so I don't care about what people say. I hope the owner produces a movie and hires me :-). They have Big Casting Agents who work there that will cast you in movies and commercials after you finish the courses. Then they will send you to get pictures so you can do everything in one place.

This is not a venting area about who fired who who cares if someone got fired who cares. MAX Agency get off this site if you just want to air you dirty laundry this site is for consumers to let people know about company's doing in justice to consumers. If you can't take the heat the get out of the kitchen "as they say" Better business can only say what they know not what companies are actually doing to consumers. Not all people complain they just walk when they act the fool and give their money to people who are frauds. So Get off this board and let people notify people of thier experiences. The fact that you put in a complaint about someone doesn't mean they did anything to you. It means that you filed a complaint. That's all. Anyone can do that or did you thing that you were fooling us. We all know what happened you have had your staff posting things for months now. Even bad mouthing people who work for you and blaming it on others. Just go and make your money on the fools that pay you and be a smart scammer. You are getting way to involved with this and you are tipping people off as to what you are doing. I worked as your receptionist at MAX and you have fought with every single staff member. Even the one who's name begins with "D" She hates you but needs to work because she can't find another job and she is partially brainwashed by you. You hire young girls who don't know any better. That is why no real men work for you. Just get smart and keep scamming. You have no right to blame anyone for taking money from anyone. When I left we had a huge fight and you tried to intimidate me by yelling. It didn't work then and it won't work now. You probably fired this person because they didn't make enough money for you, or they wouldn't do something that was wrong. Now you are mad because people know the truth. You are not fooling anyone. Your staff is running around telling people what you are doing. And the two that you are getting to write all these posts have told people and it's getting around. No one stole from you No one could ever take more from you than you haven't already taken of others. Get over it. There are not so smart people and there are smart people and the smart ones find a way to leave your companies and the not so smart people will leave eventually. You keep saying that people are defaming you. I haven't seen one post here from anyone except from you and your staff that is causing all this. Remember there are a few of us that worked with you and we still keep in touch. We have all seen this board and it is the biggest laugh because we know what lengths you will go to, to make it look like it is others. This board is filled with insults to people but it's you that is doing this to make it look like it is someone else. No one wants to hurt anyones reputation. They don't care. This is all you. And I read the post saying that someone should be ashamed. OMG. Who should be ashamed? OMG We laughed so hard when we read that one. That lady was so into teaching. You told us that. If you had to fired her then something you did or asked her must have been really wrong. You told us that she would never leave because she was so professional. Now you are trying to spread these rumors. You are the one who told me to write something on a website about her and she got mad. She got mad because what we wrote was wrong. She was so professional it was crazy and you know it. Now you lost her, dosen't matter if you fired her or she quit you still lost her. Too bad. move on and find another person that will work for you and bow down to you. She is better off and if she is reading this, I hope she stays away from you and your business.

I heard about the other girl you fired too. Yes was still talking to some of your PROFESSIONAL STAFF although I don't know the Martha Chick you fired but I am sure she has her story as well. We all do.

Just get off this board and stop your cunning ways. Some posters are trying to tell you, and I am sure they are all people who know you, We are not fooled. No one is posting this ### but you and who ever else you getting to do it for you.

Go away and leave people alone. Stop lying about people. I heard what you said about me and why I left. You lied then and you are lying on this board about everyone.

You are answering your own questions. Hello Max Employees and owners. Stop trying to bluff people you are the one who complained about Gloria Mann and Shasta you are trying to take the attention off the fact that you are ripping people off at Malls by recruiting innocent people that's why you are still open. You don't have any known actors I know this because I used to work at MAX and I know all about how you fraud people and so does everyone in the Business it's just that people don't know the business so you keep going an no one get's any real work just extra work and print and even those jobs don't really pay well. Stop bringing other people into it it's not working everyone knows that you own an acting school that you are also making money from. No good agency owns acting schools they don't have to because they make their money off commission from actors working a real acting jobs. If you keep up with these phoney posts you are just getting people going again. No one else is involved except the people who are getting ripped off and YOU.

I have read a lot of stuff about Max Agency in the last 24 hours and it is mind boggling to say the least. Whatever you are saying about the inside story behind the defamation of Max Agency makes a lot of sense. The dates you have given match the flood of negative, crazy comments on this website. I am just wondering why they are targeting complaints board in particular for their campaign?

No one has the time or inclination to make a 100 real complaints within 2 months about a company unless the company is really mucking things up. In Max's case, all they did wrong was fire someone for stealing and then reporting it to the police. What would you do if you were the employer instead of them?

Max Agency is a reputable business registered with Better Business Bureau and in operation for the last ten years. The kind of jobs that models of Max Agency have recently landed is also impressive. There is no real cause for making the kind of postings which one can see in the threads you are mentioning. It is a defamation campaign out of vindictiveness against an honest business, created by someone to clear their own tracks.

Max Agency Fruad

MAX Agency, Universal Academy of Acting, Ross Clydesdale & Visually Reel Team up to SCAM innocent people:

Under the excuse that they are trying to help kids, they are scamming people out of hard earned money.

Dont be fooled, this is how it works:

Kamran Zaidi who owns MAX Agency sends out Scouts, then he tells them they have to get photos done, then pay for anything else he can get them for. Then tells them the have to take classes and says MAX Agency is paying for the first set of classes, and tells them that a great Casting Director will be teaching them. You get to Universal Academy of Acting, you meet Ross Clydesdale who was tossed out of the business because he was a drunk and still is. Then just before you finish the "FREE" classes which they are not really free, they hit you with "you should take the rest of the classes" If you don't then they will drop you eventually from the MAX Agency, they wont tell you that but you are put into a "Get Lost" file. and if you do take the classes, it doesn't really matter anyway because they have no clout in the business, Casting Directors don't see anyone from that Agency along with the other Zaidi Clan Agencies. So it's a lose lose situation.

So there you have it, Ross Clydesdale who has tried to start a internet business that didn't work and can't be a casting director anymore because he is a drunk and people know it and won't work with him now, his posing as someone who can help you. He can't and won't, he just needs money for his next drink.

Run as far as you can and don't look back when any of these people or companies approach you.

And finally, Julianne K. who used to be the head instructor and the only instructor there is now with siding with the Good Guys Actra, is only talking when important people call her. She is in hiding because now she wants nothing to do with it. Well isn't that nice. Sure hide when people need you the most.

In any industry there are those who don't get what they want, or feel they deserve. It is easy to say something negative and forever scar someone...If you have not worked with Ross, you do not know him...you are following rumours and innuendos...
Ross is a true professional; extremely knowledgeable in the field.

I agree where is this lady when she should be front and center.

She is out of that school now and has no loyalty to these people I hope.

If this Ross Clydedale is now the front for this Kamaran then he knows exactly what this Family is all about. I read on another site that there is a Jennifer Gibson as well. This Family knows how to network. What's up with these people, are times that bad in this industry.

Sounds like this clydedaleinsider is pissed from a long time ago. If Julieann is on the side of Actra then, Agent Pissed must be right, maybe the law in this business protects them. Don't get discouraged though because that dosen't mean they can't be stopped, how you stop these people is through the bank accounts they have. Stop the people from paying them and we stop them.

I had a private message from one of the posters. it's a plan to let people know way before they even get to the school. I have to do some checking and will try and work on this plan.

Max Agency modeling/ acting fraud

Ok, why do people disagree with max agency being a fraud and say it is those who have no talent or no looks for the agency. Whoever says that is simply ignorant and they themselves live in a dark hole and are ashamed cause not only are they ugly themselves, but also untalented and unworthy and feel to critisize those who truly lost their money. Max Agency is a fraud and it has nothing to do with your age, looks or talent. They will pretty much take anyone into their agency just so you can pay for their portfolio and other model cards, which get you nowhere believe me, so pointless for this. They also tell you to take acting lessons. I was told to sign a contract only if i would agree to making some photo cards even though i already have more acting experience from an arts school of 4 years than their silly lessons by some no name actress apparently. They are rediculous, i said no way and did not give them any money luckly i was 17 then so my mother declined the offer for me. Everything people are critisizing here is completely true! I only found out they were a fraud after i did the research, dont be a victim and sign the contract. Go to an agency such as orange modeling, I am 18 now and have applied their last year and have done modeling for H&M and parasuco.

This is what I know about Uzi Zaidi aka Mike Herts, Saroor Hassan Zaidi:
I first heard of Uzi when he worked at Zaidi models with his brother Zoomie and his uncle Hassain. The agency was called Zaidi Models. I later ran into him a short time after he opened his first agency called Blitz models. He had moved from Mississauga and was now working in a downtown location. He had said he had left zaidi models to team up with his brother who owned two other agencies one called MTM| which was located in Mississauga, and Moro model management which was located downtown Toronto. He said that he would sign me through his agency which was Blitz and then transfer my file to Moro when they found me work. I found that fishy. Two weeks later Blitz models disappeared. I went down to speak to Zoomie and he said that he had taken over his brothers agency’s through moro and Uzi had to leave for Pakistan. I later looked on the internet and checked through other agency’s and found out that a lot of people got ripped off at Blitz and that it was a non-legitimate agency. UIt seems like Uzi would sign all these people, then his agency closed and his brother would hand select a few and the rest got left with nothing but broken promises. After some time passed Uzi popped up again with Casting Toronto, Century Models, and M Models, and we all know what happened after that. I question the credibility of the Zaidi family. A legitimate booking agency has no need to advertise. I find that any agency director that creates a You tube video of himself while looking incredibly stoned is a disgrace to all other agents. Further more Moros creditability regarding its bookings is based upon its original owner who started the company and named it after his mother and was partnered to a weall know casting director. The Zaidi family has been around since the early 90’s the only was to stop them is to truly educate yourself on the industry standards before walking into one of these agencies. Note: Hassain Zaidi in the late 90’s early 2000’s was charged with the same offence and also starred in his very own W5 special.
FA|M|ILY TREE:
(Uncle|) Hassain Zaidi, former owner of Zaidi Models, legitimate film producer and film financee.
(Nephew of Hassain Zaidi) Uzi Zaidi, casting Toronto century models, m models, zaidi models, moro model & talent, max models M|TM, blitz, and showcase,
(Brother of Uzi, Nephew of Hassain) Zoomie Zaidi, casting Toronto century models, m models, zaidi models, moro model & talent, max models M|TM, blitz, and showcase.
I believe they are all involved together this is a family affair if you look into one you should look into all.

zaidis are part of the organized crime family in toronto. they have not only filtered there black money through agencies, but also clubs. Uzi Zaidi use to be part of the club called V nite club on yorkville. I saw him there with some cubans and russians. He was also involved in financing Pakistan President Musharraf to stay in power. This family is very dangerous, and belong to a sect of Moslem [censored]te's. I wish you Zaidis burn in hell.
Here is a pic of Uzi Zaidi taken when he was under investigation. The zaidis love there mercedes collection, money earned through fraud and racketeering.

OKAY it's a battle but who is really writing all of this the above poster sounds the same as all the posters who are causing all the problem. They write the same with the same names and the same childish wording "be ashamed" you shouldn't throw stones Ha Ha. I have read all of this funny stuff and they are trying way too hard to mention names. TISK TISK TISK they have nothing better to do. Real Posters are talking about something totally different in some posts and that same poster keeps coming on and mentioning the same names. You are giving yourself away Ha Ha. I know you because I have the same blood as you.

Trying to cause conflict, but you do it in your real life to, Ha Ha Ha. Now Now, he who mentions names, are trying to take the attention off them selves.

But in the end who really cares We don't care anymore we know who the bad guy is. We are not as stupid as you think we are.

Get off this already go home and count your money that is what you do best.

You should be ashamed of yourself for defaming reputable businesses for your vindictiveness. If you have a real problem with any of the people you are slandering here, you should go to the police. But you are only here to damage them because you are a bitter vindictive individual and this is the easiest thing a person like you can do. Make a thousand more posts and contact whoever you want. The truth prevails in the end.

Ms. Cingolani, I highly commend you for your straight forward and professional post. It is a pity that you have been dragged into this by the above mentioned person and had to post here. I do not post on these types of chat sites as I believe it sensationalizes small issues and breeds negativity, however myself and my business have been attacked and I feel the need to comment. This thread was brought to my attention by an email and after having read it in its entirety, I am shocked at the content.

I would like to first bring attention to the comments that seem to be feeding this thread by Mari Plant. Please note that I have saved our correspondence including my 4 line reply to your very long message. I have no problem posting it in its entirety as you did specifically ask about and mention both Juli-Ann Kay, Kamran Zaidi, Universal Academy of Acting, and MAX agency. In my reply, I recommend doing some research and contact Casting Workbook, ACTRA, Equity, TAMAC, and the Toronto Police Authority. This is not in reference to anyone one specific person or company, it was simply a suggestion of multiple organizations that may help you verify any information and/or rumors regarding all of the above, crossing your desk. I would appreciate it if you leave the untrue comments regarding myself and my business out of your associations and online postings. As a reminder, slander is an illegal offence and punishable by law.

My relationship with Juli-Ann Kay ended due to unforeseen circumstances before any conflict began between both her and the Universal Academy of Acting/Kamran Zaidi. I have always wished Juli-Ann nothing but the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Ross Clydesdale is one of multiple guests artists (in film/tv, dramatic arts, music, improv., dance) who have given workshops at my academy. I was very happy with the services he provided during his 3 hour clinic in December. If he has established a teaching relationship at Universal Academy of Acting, it is none of my business and not in my knowledge.

I will reiterate that we are not connected to Universal Academy, Kamran Zaidi, MAX agency, or any of their affiliates. I do not know their history in the film/tv business, nor do I care to take the time to know. It does not concern myself or the studio and I do not wish them any ill will.

The Cingolani name and reputation speaks for itself. We have prided ourselves on offering high quality training in multiple disciplines for over 46 years and have impeccable references both in Toronto and north of the city. It does not need to be defended.

I will not waste any more of my time on this discussion.

Ross clydesdale, is helping a wellknow family that has been frauding people for many years.

He is using the excuse that he is helping kids find a place in the business. He knows who he is working for and continues to do this knowing full well it's hurting many many people

He was tossed from the business years ago for drinking and other disorderly and unethical things in the casting room.

Now he is at it again but with another scammer Kamran Zaidi.

Kamran Zaidi and his brother Hassain come from a Modeling agency called Zaidi models, they were investigated and then had to shut down do to the press that came with it.

The Kamran Zaidi who has many other alias, started another scam with Peter Holub in the end he snitched on his parter, so he would only get probation and his partner did the jail time.

The Zaidi's then got Julianne k. to teach for them now she has rolled on them and Ross Clydesdale took her place.

Did you all know Julianne used to work with Ross Clydesdale. Yes it's true the worked together when I was acting.

He was the drunk and she was the one who hid it from everyone but she didn't do a very good job.

She should be a shamed of herself for not telling all of these innocent people that both of the Men, Ross Clydesdale and Kamran Zaidi have teamed up and are now on the same team.

She is just as guilty because she is in hiding to now. Thought you were a mother of an Actress Julianne. Or being a mother should be enough you are hiding and that makes me more mad that you are just letting this happen.

You are not in it anymore, tell people what you know stop being a coward.

Yes she, Ms Kay did respond.

She said that the cigoloni school in Barrie is reputable but that she can't say why the same people are working there because she doesn't know anything about either school now.

This Renee girl is not someone I would want to know, sorry just my opinion. Seems like quite the know it all but has no manners.

I had to apologize to her just because Ms Kay seems to want us to keep the cigoloni school out of things, she didn't say those words exactly but it was implied.

I begin to have more and more respect for her as time goes on, just because people want to save their reputations by allowing people like the Zaidis to do what the do, but with the same breath they will slam them, but not slam them. They are very two faced, as you can tell not a fan of this Renee Girl or her school, sorry Ms Kay my opinon.

I can't post the email, Ms. Kay replied but put a cc to Renee at the cigoloni school so I don't want to post Ms Kays email.

I replied that I respect her response, and I do.

Knowing now how many people in this business will work with these people in the way they do, you have to give it to Ms Kay for standing up to them alone. Well she is not alone, Lawrence is right, we have to be there with her.

She did say that she dosen't know Karman Zaidi as well as people think she does. I thought it was a few years but she said it's only been a couple of years and the first year she didn't see him because she only taught on the weekends. She knew his brother, that must be hassain zaidi then Kamran took of the school.

All in all if it was only two years, it didn't take her long to stand up to him.

Zagirl, can you tell us what this family member says, becareful these people are very good at lies and deception. Thats how they got rich.

Kamran Zaidi has several family members, one of them is going to talk to me. I don't know if I will be able to share what they tell me. But I will certainly do right with the information.

I know one thing posters, this one aint happy with the family.

Max Agency Fraudsters and cheaters

This 'agency' is a scam. They do nothing but brainwash and manipulate innocent people. They have a policy of not speaking to anyone who is under 18, and that is because 16 year olds don't have credit cards so they cannot purchase a photo session which is essentially useless for the agent.

The office is run by a deceptive woman who is so naive, irrational, and immature. As well she has no work ethic. She spends most of her time outside smoking when she should be keeping an eye on the office. The 'owner' of the company spends zero time in the office, he shows up for a day and a 1/2 and leaves his sidekick (the deceptive woman) in charge when he's not around.

No one knows this, but 99.9% of the business Max gets is not word of mouth, it's not people seeing ads in the newspaper, Max sends scouts to large events and they approach people and ask if they want to model or be an actor. So obviously everyone is excited by this. Later on max has workers who call these people who were approached and try to con them into coming in for an evaluation and meeting with an agent. This agent will tell you whether you're nice looking or not, that you can make it big and they will try to sell you on purchasing photos, which can cost anywhere from $500-$1, 200 and it's a complete waste of money. They will tell you you won't be able to get any acting job without a head shot.

This message is here to let you know about the 'business' that goes on at Max. They say they're certified by the better business bureau. That doesn't really mean much, anyone can obtain a plaque from the government.

They work stupid hours, the staff is not allowed to use the washroom, there is a reptile of some kind that swims in a tank in the foyer and he never gets fed.

Max guarantees they will provide work for anyone who signs. 90% of the clients never see a days work in this industry.

It is very important that you take a look at this before you sign with max, you will reret it in the long run.

Thank you for your time :)

Max agency is a total scam.anyone who defends them is part of that scam.my daughter was approached by them and told how beautiful and talented she was. She was told she could be a model, actress or anything she wanted. They got her hopes so high up that she emptied her bank account on pictures, acting glasses and going down to the agency. She is a 13 year old naive girl who was taken advantage of.Here we are 6 months later and not one audition or even a check up call.Once they have your money they move on too the next victim. The only time we hear from them is when they try to sell us something new by e mail.Defending them is like a woman defending Donald Trump on how he respects women. They should be shut down completely and anyone who works for them should be investigated.

This company is the worst agency out there. They take the innocent and build up their dreams, make them look and feel important, take thousands of dollars, and then give them nothing . I know business is business, but they should not take an individual dream and turn it into a nightmare. Beware people. These employees look nice but watch out

I'm not sure I could be as specific as to call it categorically a scam, but my experience with Max was not positive. They represented my daughter for 2 years and she got 1 badly paid job in all that time.
Previous to Max, we were with Ford until it closed down its kid division. With them she did well-- lots of auditions/ go sees resulting in work in flyers, commercials, catalogs-- and I never paid a penny for anything beyond their usual commission.
My first impressions were good-- people seemed nice, office seemed professional, offers of free classes. Before I knew it, however, I was agreeing to pay close to a thousand dollars for portfolio pictures and comp cards. And I went for the minimum. No one forced me to pay, but things went fast and officiously and I didn't feel I had the time to process things. They don't force, but they pressure.
I got periodic emails claiming that my daughter had been submitted for jobs and never heard any more about them. Were they legit? Who knows. We did get 1 audition for a commercial (in 2 years), which she got. I was given no details until two days before the shoot, and when I heard the location (over 1 hour outside Toronto), time (5:30am-5pm), the pay ($200 flat), and the fact that we had to supply all of her outfits I wanted to cancel. Did I mention my daughter was 3 at the time? We ended up doing it, but when I finally got the check (3 months late) they had deducted HST. I think we actually lost money.
If you sign with this agency, do your due diligence and be prepared to be very proactive-- they frequently lost documents/ photos, failed to call/ email back, made us wait close to an hour for scheduled appointments, failed to pay for our 1 job until I hounded. I never got any tax documents from them either.
I can't say outright that it's a scam. But I certainly would never never sign with them if I had it to do over.

MAX AGENCY IS TERRIBLE my sister tried out max it was horrible. The lady who worked there smelled like smoke and i could tell she was drunk and had been smoking. They told us that they would call is back in about 72 hours. 6 days later still no response. we called them 3 times and they said they would call back in 5 minutes. IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS NOW. And the first time we went to max agency. they told my sister they needed pictures of her to see if they would want to work with her. WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN OUR PICTURES BACK YET. they took out money and my sisters pictures. WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH MY SISTERS PICTURES NOW. My uncle is a lawyer and we are going to max tomorrow to get my sisters pictures back. If they dont give us what we want. those ###s better watch out. we will sue them if they dont give us back our money and my sisters pictures. DO NOT GO TO THIS AGENCY

On June 12th I received a phone call from Max agency informing me that they wanted to represent my daughter. I accepted the offer and was told that I could either book an appointment right away to sign the management agreement and make an appointment with the photographer they recommended, or I could come in at a later time with pictures if I decided to work with a different photographer. I told the agent that I would contact her back after I spoke with one photographer in particular. The agent claims that I said I would call her back the next day. Regardless of which it was, at no time was I was given the impression that the offer to represent my daughter would be broken and given to someone else if I didn't get back to her within a certain time frame. The photographer called me back on June 18th, (he had been away on business, ) and still up until then I hadn't heard from the agency that they had been expecting to hear from me right away and were going to break their promise to represent my daughter if they didn't hear back from me. They didn't even have the decency to call to find out if something was wrong and that's why I hadn't called back (as it turns out, my mother was admitted to the hospital on the evening of June 12th with chest pains and I probably wouldn't have gotten around to calling them back right away even if I had heard from the photographer.) So right after speaking with the photographer on June 18th, I called the agency only to be told that someone else had been chosen in her place because they hadn't heard from me sooner. Max Agency broke a verbal agreement with me to represent my child with absolutely no warning or notice. I have found several reviews and spoke with several people in the industry that suggest that the agency tends to treat people differently once they decide to go with an outside photographer and unfortunately this seems to be the case here. This is disappointing not only to me but to my child and is completely unprofessional. I have read mostly good reviews when it comes to the quality and quantity of work provided through the agency but they need to be clear with their expectations and deadlines through proper communication and if you really want to work with them, I suggest you be prepared to hire their photographer for a minimum of $500 for kids photos or be treated poorly.

MAX AGENCY IS A COMPLETE SCAM!. I have just broke my contract with this agency after doing more research on them and finding nothing but negative reviews. I have been done this unpretty world of modelling and have to face the facts that most agencies other than the known reputable ones (elite, ford, etc.) are nothing but scams and jokes. Jennifer De Faria is one of the agents, when you first meet her you are already sketchy, she is under 5 feet, and dresses like a street walker, all of her breast are exposed and you cannot help to wonder if it is really a real modelling agency or a stripper audition. Either way I decided not to jude the book by its cover and sign with max, as I said I did my research and then decided to break with them after finding such horrible info. The way I was dealt with was completely unprofessional, hostile, disgusting and rude... to get back my own money! she had her hands in my face, insulted me, laughed at my statements when I told her I was going to report her and the agency to the better business bureau. She laughed as if it was all a joke. When I left she threatened to charge me with trespassing if I ever came back. REALLY? is that how you treat a client, It was a simple reason I was there; to get back my money and to talk to the creative director on how I was deat with. It did not need to be taken to that level, all of the rules of business; being polite, the customer is always right ec. where thrown out the door. Her actions spoke so loud that max is a joke. The fact that THEY ARE NOT LISTED WITH ACTRA should raise eyebrows, yet they claim to also be an acting agency. I was constantly promised that my calls and emails would be returned the same day and they weren't until weeks later. Last the "creative director" if there even is one, is the hardest person to find in the world. He is never in the office... which is quite small... and the even more funny thing is that if all you want to know is his name you will not be granted that information. All i wanted to know was the creative director's name.. to make a long story short.. and i STILL AHVE NOT RECIEVED MY PROMISED REFUND. anyways to make this short MAX AGENCY IS A SCAM, RIP-OFF, and ijennifer de faria and all the other girls who call themselves agents have no reputation, no history of modelling or acting and you should have your guard up.

I worked for MAX Agency as a promotion and event Model, what a scam business. Dont work for these people they tell you anything you want to hear and then you find out nothing is true. They don't even pay you on time, then I had to fight to get what they owed me., which was not a lot of money to begin with. I feel so bad trying get other people to give them more money. Don't work for them and DO not give them any money, they will just ask for more, you will get nothing in the end. They don't return your calls and if you are trying to be an actor or a model they will wait till you make one mistake and then tell you they can't be your agent any more. The real reason is that you have paid for everything so there is no reason to keep you around. They keep a few people on just so it looks good but if you talk to those people they don't get jobs that pay if they get any at all. STAY AWAY FROM MAX AGENCY. They are not the top Agency anywhere in Canada. STAY AWAY FROM MAX AGENCY
