To whom it may concern,
I bought a pair of Mark's rechargeable work boots in Oct.2010. I found that after a month or so the right boot would not hold a charge. I took them back to Mark's and they replaced them right away because of a manufactures defect.
The next pair lasted the rest of winter and I stored them away and recharged them as Mark's suggested. This winter I was getting ready to go north and discovered that the right boot again was not holding a charge. I took them back and because I do not have a receipt they will not do anything. Now how many of us keep the receipt, not many. And this boot was defective right from the place they were built. I'm not asking for a return of money, but an exchange of the defective boots for the new style they have an I will pay the difference in price.
What dose a consumer have to do to get a fair shake from this company(Mark's). I've tried to email them but to know avail, their email is one screwed up address. I've talked to the store where I bought them and they will do nothing. They say their hands are tied.
I work in heavy construction all over Canada, And when we buy any type of tools, equipment, etc. we know that if there is a manufactures defect that it is either replaced or repaired at not cost to us.
It seems that Mark's has forgotten this.
