DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!
My experience with Main Street Renewal was, without question, the worst rental experience I have ever had.
Beginning on February 17, 2026, I reported serious habitability concerns involving suspected mold and water-related issues. What followed was months of delays, incomplete repairs, inconsistent communication, and a complete lack of accountability.
For approximately two and a half months, my family's kitchen was effectively unusable while remediation and repairs dragged on. During that time, we continued paying rent while living in a home that was not fully functional. Maintenance tickets were repeatedly opened, closed, reassigned, and marked as resolved even though many of the reported issues remained.
Eventually, Main Street Renewal acknowledged the seriousness of the situation by granting significant rent concessions and removing fees from my account. However, rather than working toward a fair resolution, they filed an eviction while the account and habitability issues were still actively being disputed.
I immediately defended the case in court. After the account was reconciled, payments were processed, concessions were applied, and the balance was corrected, Main Street Renewal voluntarily dismissed the eviction.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. Even after I moved out, my account continued changing. New balances appeared without explanation, repeated requests for a complete accounting went unanswered, and I was forced to continue disputing unexplained charges while trying to complete mortgage underwriting for the purchase of my new home.
What frustrated me most was not just the repairs—it was the lack of transparency and communication. Every step required repeated follow-ups just to obtain basic information that should have been provided in the first place.
If you choose to rent from Main Street Renewal, document everything:
* Save every email.
* Take photographs.
* Keep copies of every maintenance request.
* Track every payment.
* Request written confirmation of every conversation.
Those records ultimately became my most valuable protection.
I sincerely hope Main Street Renewal improves its communication, maintenance practices, and accountability so that future tenants do not have to experience what my family went through.
