I had a bad experience at Maiden Lane Medical, PLLC. The doctors and billing department are not honest about insurance. I went for a yearly visit and mentioned wanting to lose weight. Later, I was charged for a doctor visit even though my insurance covers yearly visits at 100%. The billing department said it was because the doctor spoke to me about my weight, but we never talked about BMI. The doctor also suggested I get a sonogram even though I had no issues. I ended up with a $987 bill for the sonogram. The billing department said I could have declined, but I trusted the doctor. It's disappointing that doctors who are supposed to help us are actually trying to cheat us. I complained to my insurance company and will write reviews to warn others. The doctors need to be responsible for their billing practices. Don't go to this clinic, they are not looking out for you.

Maiden Lane Medical, PLLC is a total scam! They took my money and didn't even do the tests they were supposed to. I'm so mad that I trusted them. They're a bunch of crooks and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Stay away from this place if you value your health and your wallet.
I went to the doctor on Oct 11
I went to the doctor on Oct 11. The doctor told me to come back on Oct 18 for blood work. I went on Oct 18 just for blood work, not to see the doctor. They charged me for an office visit on Oct 11 and again on Oct 18. My insurance only requires a $40 copay for specialist visits, which I didn't have. It doesn't make sense to charge me for an office visit when I didn't see the doctor. I called twice, but they didn't help. I got Health Advocate to help me, but they used the wrong code for the claim. They sent a corrected claim with the same charge, so my insurance denied it. I spent a lot of time on this, but they refused to refund the charge even though it was their fault.

I know they have a cancellation policy, and I canceled previous appointments on time to avoid fees. I've been trying to reach them by phone and email since 1/21 to ask for the $75 no-show fee to be waived as a courtesy. I sent a doctor's note and a detailed email explaining why I missed the appointment, but Maiden Lane won't refund the fee. We're in a global pandemic, and I can't afford unnecessary bills. I tried to contact the manager, Shoyoye, several times, but she won't answer my calls. Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance.
