On the 17th February 2022, 18H38 I received R181.77 online purchase SMS which I did not authorize, I immediately set all my limits to zero. The following day, 18/02/2022I rushed to the Capitec branch at Pretoria street Hillbrow to report the incident as it was the nearest to where I was at. I usually use the Capitec branch at Kotze Street Hillbrow, the employee there are enthusiastic and interested in customers' concerns/ problems.

Teller number 3 told me that later on 17/02/2022 the other company tried to make another purchase and said there was nothing she can do to help me, and send me off. I told her I had a similar experience at FNB and the purchase was reversed because the online purchase is finalized after three days, She said there is nothing that the Capitec bank can DO. I told her I was going to take my money elsewhere. On my way out the gentleman who was issuing the service tickets asked me if I was helped, ( I had earlier explained my problem to him), he gave me another ticket(15, the1st one was 13) to back to the queue and make a new bank card. The same teller called me and made a new card for me.

I am surprised to hear that there is nothing Capitec bank can do to help me with this regard and feel my money is not safe at Capitec bank, and I am now shopping around for a bank where I will be offered quality service and my money will safe.
