I had a consult with this woman, Louann Magi who claims to be the principal of her own company L'Image Design. L'Image Design is a company on "One person" being Louann Calhoun-Magi.
L'Image had no creativity, no vision and very generic opinions. I actually felt like I was at a typical furniture store being hussled by a sales rep. Save your time and aggravation. She's a junior college no-nothing designer. Maybe it is a hobby for her, but it is complete and utter boring suggestions. Ugh!

Her ideas are all so old and come straight from the internet or from Better Homes and Gardens! Don't waste your time.
I swear her portfolio must be all tear outs from O magazine and Martha Stewart Living.

I checked out three different designers in the Columbia area. I also checked their education background and their professional memberships.
L'Image is not a member of any accredited interior design/architecture group and it is stated that a degree in Interior Design was obtained from University of Maryland, College Park. THAT DEGREE DOES NOT EXIST AT THAT COLLEGE.
Makes me pause...
There is no Bachelor of Arts in "Interior Design/Interior Architecture". Nothing even close to that degree.

I also just consulted with three various designers for an office project. All three had different visions of my own idea. One person was from L'Image (the owner).
The portfolio I was shown was all very typical and really one project looked like the next project. (taupe, leather, pillows, a little side table). The designer I went with had cutting edge ideas and her portfolio was varied and really showed some creativity.
Just wanted to add my two cents. Check with more than one designer before getting discouraged. Some are bland some are wild with ideas! I chose other than L'Image.

Why doesn't everyone just consult with the professionals of upscale furniture stores? They even come to your home and give advice, measure and custom order for free.
Why pay for something you can get for free? I did my entire home including drapes and wallcoverings for absolutely ZERO! I just had to buy the bulk of my furniture from them. They even discounted and offered contractors to install the blinds and wall coverings. It was FANTASTIC AND FREE!

Dear Jérémie
Take your apology and shove it. Too little too late. Your "customer care" is consistently terrible for the recipient of a package. Except in this one case of course, where a complaint is made on a public forum. The rest of the time, once the sender gives you your money, the customer can go to hell.

Yes, agree with the above poster. She was nice, but not very sophisticated.
