On the evening of 11 MAY 24, my wife was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital located in The Woodlands, Texas. She was in a great deal of pain at the time of transport. Shortly after my wife's arrival to the hospital, I checked in with the front desk requesting information and to see my wife. I was told that someone will meet with me in about 15 minutes. A little more than an hour went by, and have not heard anything from anyone. At that time, I asked to see my wife, which the front desk allowed. I went back to room 31 where my wife was placed, and discovered she was still in pain asking for medicine. I went back to the front desk, and was informed someone will meet with me shortly. After waiting another hour, I asked to see my wife again, and discovered her condition never changed, but was given pain medicine. I then went back to the lobby and waited a for close to another hour, at which point my mother, who was with me at the time began asking the front desk questions of what was going on. At that time, she was told that they were not allowed to release any information, at which time I approached the front desk with my mother who was agitated that I was not receiving any information in reference to my wife's care or what steps have been taken. All we were being told is that tests were being conducted, and that my wife was happy with the services being provided. We were not told what type of tests were being conducted, nor their assessment of what was going on that would require the tests. The Charge Nurse, named Britni then told my mother she didn't like her "tone" and asked my mother to leave...which my mother complied. I was then told by Britni that I was no longer allowed to see my wife. When asked why, I was told it was based on the request of the patient, which was a lie. My wife informed me after she was discharged that she was asking for me, and was told that we were asked to leave due to unruly conduct with the front desk. We raised our voices, and were stern, but we were respectful, and was not yelling as Britni had suggested.

I can be emailed at [protected]@helpishere.law.( I wasn't kidding about working at an attorney's office). I can also be reached at [protected].

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: I would like a formal apology from Britni and formally reprimanded for lying to us.
