Legacy Homes Omaha Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC built a house for me, and they still ain't done with my checklist from my walk through in mid January

Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC built a house for me, and they still ain't done with my checklist from my walk through in mid January. I still need some weather stripping around my garage doors, and they've been giving me excuses for months about why it ain't done. I signed a contract for this house to be built back in November , so any delays now are all on them and the folks they're workin' with.

Legacy Homes Omaha Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC was a subcontractor for our builder

Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC was a subcontractor for our builder. After we closed on our home, we noticed some spacing issues with our engineered hardwood floors. We decided to submit a claim, and a warranty representative from the subcontractor's company came to inspect the floors. They informed us that the floors were installed incorrectly by one of their employees and that we would need a new floor.

However, when the owner, Jerry, got wind of the situation, he personally visited our home and contradicted the warranty representative's assessment. He claimed that we didn't actually need a new floor, even though we had followed all their instructions and were assured that a replacement would be provided.

Legacy Homes Omaha We bought a new house in April for a hefty price

We bought a new house in April for a hefty price. The company takes forever to fix problems. They get all defensive when you ask them to fix stuff that's covered by the warranty, even though it's clearly stated in their handbook. When you try to get them to fix things, they say they'll do it in 24-48 hours, but you have to bug them over and over again just to get a response. Now they don't even answer phone calls anymore, and you can only email them for warranty claims. But guess what? They don't even bother replying within that 24-48 hour timeframe. The grading in my yard is slightly better, but after a heavy rain, water filled up my basement window from the yard not draining properly, and it caused a huge flood in my house.

Legacy Homes Omaha I got my house from Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC in December

I got my house from Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC in December . But dang, it's been 9 whole months and there are still some things that ain't fixed yet. My gutter keeps leaking and no matter how many times I call or email, they straight up ignore me. And don't even get me started on my garage. There are gaps in it, so the cold air just waltzes right into my house. They did fix the toilet paper holder, but they left the textrol over and never bothered to repaint it. It's been 2 months now and still no sign of them. Supposedly, someone was supposed to come and check out my garage in August, but they never bothered to show up. I tried reaching out again, but surprise surprise, they ignored me once more. And get this, this was all supposed to be covered under the 60-day warranty. Can you believe it?

Legacy Homes Omaha We bought our new house in August

We bought our new house in August . Legacy was supposed to fix any covered repairs within 12 months. We had our 1 year walk through in July . Most repairs are done, but our concrete driveway still ain't fixed. We've talked on the phone and through email many times in the past 14 months, but it's all been empty promises. The job ain't done and no concrete companies have reached out like they said. I want it fixed before winter so the cracks and chips don't get worse. They also promised to remove rust spots from leftover nails that weren't cleaned up right.

Legacy Homes Omaha My house can be built with a walkout, but the agent says it's a daylight

My house can be built with a walkout, but the agent says it's a daylight. Now there's nothing she can do. The builder says he can do a walkout, but I have to sign off on my house now. If my agent contacts the builder about my lots when I ask her, even though my house will be almost done in two months, she says no. In the meantime, there's nothing he can do because the house has already had concrete poured. She tries to blame it on Mother Nature, saying the builder doesn't know the lots until they dig the ground. That doesn't sound right. How can the builder not know what type of lots they're going to build on? How are they going to sell to customers if they don't know for sure? If she contacts the builder when I ask, then he can cut the wall and concrete to make a door in the basement. I already asked the builder on the day I signed off. He said he can do that, but it's a little too late because I signed for the house today. I wish they could have pushed the sign-off day later so he could cut the wall in the basement, but I guess Legacy Homes doesn't want to wait.

Legacy Homes Omaha We bought a house from Legacy Homes on 4/5

We bought a house from Legacy Homes on 4/5. We really like the house and think it was built well, but after living in it for 4 months, we've had a few warranty-related problems. We let Legacy Homes know about most of these problems during our 60-day warranty review on 6/5. They said they would send someone to fix them. We've been checking in regularly to find out when this will happen, and they keep saying they're working on it and will update us. We waited until 8/1 to schedule another warranty review and express our frustration with how we've been taken care of. Someone came to our house to look at all our complaints. They said they would schedule a major repair for 8/9-8/10. But no one showed up, and we didn't hear anything from anyone. Here are the warranty issues: the upper doors in the kitchen pantry are missing (we added this in when we bought the house), the laundry room window is leaking (a big problem), the front porch railing is missing supports, and the siding is falling off.

Legacy Homes Omaha After living in my new home for 11 months, I discovered several issues that needed to be addressed

After living in my new home for 11 months, I discovered several issues that needed to be addressed. I reached out to the warranty department through email to discuss these problems. Unfortunately, when I tried to speak with the department manager, she defended their response and behavior instead of addressing my concerns.

One unresolved issue was a drainage pipe that was installed by one of their vendors over a weekend without my permission. This pipe ran through the front of my lawn, starting from my neighbor's backyard and going under the sidewalk. When I questioned the assigned vendor about this, they ignored me and continued their work. I informed Shari about the situation, but she ignored my email and claimed that it was necessary. I was never informed about this plan beforehand.

Additionally, there were items from an 11-month inspection list that the company refused to fix. These included repairing the sod that was damaged by drainage from the construction of the home, conducting a water test in the basement to ensure the crack was fixed as agreed upon, and replacing a cracked sliding glass door sash. These items were clearly stated on the list, but a year later, they remain unresolved.

I contacted the vendor responsible for the sliding glass door replacement, but they had no information about the door that was supposed to be replaced. Since fall of 2021, I have been engaged in an email chain with no resolution, with everyone involved blaming each other for the lack of progress. I also requested invoices for all the work that had been completed, as I believe it is important to have written documentation due to the company's deceptive practices. However, my request has been ignored, even though I have received invoices from them in the past. Furthermore, I inquired about the timeframe for reimbursement of a $*** project but have not received a response.

Legacy Homes Omaha We got problems with Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC fixing building mistakes that are causing damages and water leaks

We got problems with Legacy Homes Omaha, LLC fixing building mistakes that are causing damages and water leaks. We built a house with them and closed in August . After we moved in and started using the a/c, we noticed wetness on the ceiling. We called the warranty department right away 'cause it was the third leak we had to deal with. The master bath and main bath both leaked water and caused damage. They fixed that, but then another leak happened. We thought it was the same problem. They came back and said it was condensation from the a/c. They told us to change our curtains, turn up the a/c, clean the filter and a/c, switch the a/c fan to on instead of auto, and buy a dehumidifier. We turned off the air for winter and everything seemed fine. When we turned it back on this summer, it was worse than last year. We contacted the warranty department again. They came out multiple times this year. They added insulation near the duct work to separate the garage from the house, put makeshift insulation in the hole they made in the ceiling between our living and dining area, and added vents outside our house. But even after all that, the problem got worse. It leaks and leaves water from the hole in the hallway to about halfway through my living room, and then to my powder room on the other side of the hole. After all this work and still major leaking, they were going to have the drywallers fix the holes. We canceled 'cause it's still leaking pretty bad. Then Legacy's warranty department tells us to read the warranty manual and says condensation isn't covered. We were ready to pay for the issue, so we called several a/c companies. Finally, one of them told us to contact a duct company. We called them, had them come to our house, and paid them $*** dollars just for them to tell us it is a condensation issue, but it's not our fault. There's a hole somewhere between the top and bottom floor that's letting in too much hot air and causing the problem. They said the hole needs to be fixed and the trunk of the duct work needs insulation. They wouldn't do the job 'cause they don't know the house's layout and would have to tear up too much to find the problem. So now we're stuck. We can't get the company to admit their mistake and fix it, and we can't afford to hire someone else. With the water collecting over the summers, we're gonna have big problems in our BRAND NEW home. As you can guess, we're not getting responses from Legacy, and if we do, they take forever. I asked if they would still fix it once the warranty is up, and they said yes. I've been told to contact a lawyer to get this issue resolved.
