Gerald salerno took my money and did not do anything that we agreed on. He either has no knowledge of family law or just did not care about my child support case and only cared about prolonging my case so he can charge me more money. Part of our agreement was not to exceed a certain price. Before he even filed my case he claimed to spent all the money I paid him. He billed me for absurd things such as writing a bill and saving an email when I was already billed for him reading the email. How can I have to pay for him clicking a save button. I can go into specific detail of all the wrongs he has done, but there are way to man He did not inform me of the law, he took every measure possible to cost me more money. He took 7 months to actually set a court date after he was hired. And got no results from the first court hearing. Needless to say I am out of a lot of money and haven't even started the process of getting child support. He screwed me out of any back child support I could have gotten and also wasted 7 months of my time and money and all he did was sit on my case and do nothing productive to get it resolved. If you are thinking about hiring this Lawyer DON'T! You will regret it. He is unethical, incompetent, and unorganized.

No, these two ladies were not acting out of an "emotional time about the situation". Their reviews and description of Gerald Salerno sound all too familiar. He is not the man he portrays himself to be. He comes across as being compassionate, empathetic and humble. He is instead manipulative, out for his gain solely and deceitful. He will take on any case for a fee, any case. Whether the case has potential for a successful outcome for his client or whether the case has no grounds according to FL statutes. If your case offers a large monetary reward for him, he will work hard. If your case involves a small fee, he will ignore you, brush you off and not as much as file a petition on your behalf, as was the case for my good friend (sister-in-law) in 2013. He did, however initiate a personal relationship with her that ended badly. He wrote and sent her a cease and desist letter threatening a restraining order that was full of lies. He claimed, amongst other un-truths that my friend had harrassed his Ex-Wife by sending her "adult content" photos and graphic messages regarding their relationship via the Ex's LinkedIn account. My friend could PROVE without any doubt that Gerald had lied, therefore he never followed through with his threats. My advice to potential clients...Do your research and ONLY hire this lawyer if you have large funding for your case. My advice to potential clients with little money who are single/divorced women...don't risk it.

That has never seems to the case for me. He has always acted with dignity and in the clients best interest. Although, times I don't agree with something it's the fact that I was more emotional about the situation.

I've been sitting on my own knowledge of this incompetent attorney, Gerald T. Salerno, and I think I've waited long enough for my anger at this man to be rational enough to finally file a long-overdue complaint with the Florida Bar about him.

The thing is, not only is he incompetent and disorganized, but he's deceitful about it and tries to blame the client for his own failures afterwards. It's really terrible that he's still practicing law. I feel partly responsible since I failed to file a complaint right away.
Mr. Salerno was actually in court with his head down in a wet rag due to a hangover the last time I saw him. If he wants to deny he was suffering from what it appeared to be, that is fine. Mr. Salerno was still in court practicing law with his head down in a wet rag and physically appearing way too ill to be effective for any of his clients. Also, he would, and I mean every time I spoke with him, try to push me off and get off the phone. He never addressed my concerns. Instead he would appease me by lying to me, stating that he would file the motion I'd asked. But only to get me off the phone.
