Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) - Card membership scam

When I joined LVAC I was told I could check in at the front desk using my birthdate, now not only are refusing to do this they are demanding I pay 12 dollars from new cards I don’t want to carry because of the inconvenience. They have a that tied to your membership but can’t be used to check in, further proof they are just trying to charge extra fees is a pic of your card on your cell phone that can be scanned they stopped allowing when they realized this practice was cutting into their replacement card revenue. This was never in the contract and policy seems to shift to allow them to generate fees like a predatory bank or lender. Unethical and really quite despicable. Every other gym in town has this capability, Lvac doesn’t just so they can nickle and dime members.

Desired outcome: Change the app to allow members to check in like every other gym inn town. Or stop trying to force member to carry cards they charge a RIDICULOUS fee for.

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) - night shift supervisor (ketty) discarded my personal items maliciously and intentionally with no remorse or apology offered.

I am writing this formal letter to address the disrespect and embarrassment that Ketty (the night shift supervisor at 1195 Wellness Place, Henderson, NV) displayed against me in the lobby. I was using the Sauna and Ketty comes along and throws away my huge water bottle instead of asking me if i was the owner of the water bottle. She acted in a malicious way and way in no way sorry about her actions. As a matter of fact she preceded to speak to me in such a condescending manner verbatim "the water bottle looks dirty so i don't know who would drink from it, why not buy a better one". I was very shocked that she would address a member in that tone and in that manner. I was so ashamed at her rude gesture and i looked at her and let her know that she was acting like a Liability to LVAC and not only did she discard my personal item intentionally she escalated the situation by bringing a pamphlet to me with a highlighter telling me that the rules in the club state that one must have a swimsuit while using the sauna or the steam room but that is not what is stated. It clearly states that these conditions are applicable when entering the pool area (the coed). At this point she has now become defensive, rude and biased not to mention ignorant of her surrounding and how embarrassed i felt as she addressed me in front of multiple member in a condescending manner. Not once did she offer to pull me in to a vacant office so the issue can be resolved in private. I left the gym feeling so embarrassed and sad at how i was treated. This is not the 1st [r 2nd or 3rd time. This is the 4th time i am dealing with this behavior. She constantly takes my towel when i am using the steam room and very well aware that the towel is in use because it is usually hung on the shower door with bath essentials, shampoos and conditioners. I am very disappointed at the level of service in the henderson location. I asked Ketty one question. Would she treat the other members in the same manner? Where is the respect? Why was she biased? Why is she constantly attacking me in a passive aggressive manner? My husband and I own a business and we are located on Maryland pkwy and i told her i would never address my clients in that manner. I value all my customers and i am dedicated to offering them the best service and this starts with Respect. Our website is Www.Aviles-Consulting.com. I finally managed to convince my husband to finally join LVAC but now im starting to feel like this might not have been a great idea if the services offered at the gym makes you feel like your membership is not valued or respected. I am very disappointed with ketty. I expected better from her. I did not know she was that rude and malicious. It is unfortunate. I was actually considering on getting the VIP membership for my husband and I but now i feel like it may not be a good idea if i have to deal with a supervisor like ketty. I offered her a personal development class that my husband teaches. He is a certified in NGNLP (Next Generation Neuro-Linguistic Programming). It is an attitude adjustment class for retraining employees, couples working on saving their relationships, problematic children and people with problematic attitudes. I asked Ketty these questions verbatim? "Do you even know who you are speaking to"? What if she encounters a multi millionaire whom she has arrogantly assessed as one who may be beneath her social status therefore giving the member this air of arrogance. Exactly how she deals with certain groups of people. I felt as if she was biased. I hope to remedy this situation and hope that she can be retrained on her presence and attitude towards the members especially in the position she holds. I do not expect her to flag me and make other employees single me out and treat me with bias. I have attached my information below. I hope to hear from you soon.
