My experience as a homeowner trying to sell my home through Lakeshore Management/Alafaya Palms has been absolutely horrible. Choosing to go through this process with them has been one of the worst decisions I have made as a homeowner.
From my experience, communication has been extremely poor, getting clear answers has been unnecessarily difficult, and resolving problems has required repeated calls, emails, and follow-ups. Instead of feeling supported as a homeowner and seller, I have repeatedly felt frustrated and left to chase people for answers.
What makes this especially upsetting is that selling a home is already a stressful and important financial transaction. I expected professional communication, accurate information, accountability, and reasonable assistance throughout the process. My experience has been the opposite.
Problems that should have been handled efficiently have dragged on, and even when I have tried to get issues corrected, I have had to continue following up. The amount of time, stress, and frustration this process has caused me is unacceptable.
Based on my personal experience as a seller, I would strongly caution any homeowner who is considering purchasing a home in one of their communities and later expects to sell it. Before buying, ask detailed questions about the resale process, park requirements, fees, approvals, financing requirements, and exactly what involvement management will have when you decide to sell.
If I had known beforehand what my experience would be like when it came time to sell my home, I would never have put myself in this situation.
Recommendation to future customers:
Before purchasing a home in a Lakeshore Management community, get every rule, fee, resale requirement, and obligation in writing. Do not assume selling your home later will be a simple process. Based on my experience, I would not choose to go through this again.
