Kenneth Varley MD review: Wrong Diagnosis

I went to Dr. Varley because I had various symptoms that my primary care physician thought may be relieved by pain injections. After thoroughly explaining my symptoms Dr. Varley had me meet with a psychologist (like I was making up the pain) because this guy tried to tell me I was doing everything in my life wrong.

After I had waited for 2 hours in the waiting room, I had to listen to this guy tell me how I am supposed to live for an entire hour. He droned on and on.

Then they take me back and inject pain meds into my back. I was there for a total of 5 hours. No relief. Dr. Varley tells me it could take up to 5 treatments. So I continue to go with no relief at all.

Meanwhile I go on symptom checker on Web MD and tell Dr. Varley I didn't think it was my back I thought it may be a certain disease. He argued no it was definitely a back issue. After several thousand dollars and no relief, I went to another doctor recommended by a first year medical student.

I told the med student my symptoms and he said you most likely have PAD (which is what Web MD said & Dr. Varley said no way). So I go to a vascular surgeon and they do an ultrasound and sure enough I have Peripheral Artery Disease.

I was to the point where I had wasted 5 months screwing around at Varley's office and my arteries in my legs had become almost completely blocked. The surgeon scheduled immediate surgery (it was that bad - I could have had a stroke). This other doctor saved my life.

Dr. Varley almost killed me as far as I am concerned. He clearly did not listen to what I was telling him. Even the 1st year med student knew what I had.

Dr. Varley is a narcissist and needs to have his license revoked. DO NOT GO TO HIM! YOU MAY WIND UP DEAD AS ALL HE IS INTERESTED IN IS HEARING HIMSELF TALK AND TAKING YOUR MONEY!

Also I had asked for my information back, and the staff left it on the front desk for me to pick up. They left it with no attendant there and my name was clearly at the top face up for the world to see.
