Kearny Mesa Toyota was a bad experience for me. The guy RICH on the used car side was super rude and didn't help me at all. He made me feel judged and disrespected. If you're like me and want to be treated with respect, stay away from this guy. I'm only giving three stars because the manager was helpful and had good customer service. But I won't be going back because of RICH.

I went to Kearny Mesa Toyota and gotta say, not impressed. The boss man gave me the wrong price and I had to show him the website to prove it. Not cool, man. Then they tacked on some extra dough for "a part of the price" that wasn't even mentioned anywhere. Shady, shady. And they got all these fancy ads for Kelley Blue Book, but when I tried to trade in my 2018 Honda Accord with low miles and no problems, they only offered me *** bucks. That car is worth at least 26-27 grand, no doubt. Total rip-off, don't fall for it!

I wanted to give zero stars, but that's not an option. My complaint is too long for ComplaintsBoard.com, so I won't bother. Don't waste your time here! The manager in finance and the guy who does the paperwork are super arrogant, especially towards women. They'll waste your time for four days, but if you call them, they act like they can't be bothered. Our salesperson was great, but they approved my son and then said it was pending, but not to worry, it would be all set. Four days later, they called to say he wasn't approved and we needed to redo everything. Not top-notch service at all. Do your research before doing business here. The 1.5 stars on ComplaintsBoard.com say a lot.

I wouldn't recommend this dealership at all. They sell cars that should be scrapped. My daughter bought a used car for over 9k and it only lasted 19 months. She had to spend another 2k on repairs just a few months after buying it. Now the mechanic at the dealership says the car's engine needs to be replaced and it will cost at least 5k. It's ridiculous. I know it's sold "as is," but come on - you expect a car from a dealership to be better than one from a junkyard. This is the worst place ever. I've bought a few used cars before and never had any issues, but with them, it's like buying a lemon. Be careful and have the car checked by your own mechanic before buying.

I'm so mad at Kearny Mesa Toyota's service department. I've been a Toyota fan since 2010, but now I'm not so sure. They told me my battery replacement was covered by warranty, but when I got there, they said it wasn't. I had to pay $262 for the battery, $40 for towing, and waste over 2 hours waiting for them to fix it. AAA does the same thing for only $112 and no waiting. Toyota lied to me and I want an apology and some kind of compensation.

I had some trouble with Kearny Mesa Toyota. I tried to get a copy of my lease from my finance company, but they wouldn't give it to me. I talked to the manager and he said he would send it to me, but I never got it. When I called again, the finance department said they didn't have any records and wouldn't give me the lease. I'm confused and frustrated because I want to see the terms of my lease before it's over.

Me and my sis went to Kearny Mesa Toyota to buy a used car we saw online. We made an appointment for a test drive but when we got there, they showed us different cars. They said the car we wanted wasn't there and the price was wrong. They said it was $27,000 or more but they could sell it to us for $21,500. We asked to see the car but they said it was getting cleaned and would take 20 mins to get. We had to leave to pick up my niece so we agreed to come back later. But they said they couldn't get the car. No manager talked to us about it. They have ads for the car for $15,249 but won't sell it for that. Pics show same price & VIN number.

I bought a used car from this car dealer. I thought they would sell me a car that would run for at least 5 years. I bought the car in January , and within a few months, I had to take it to the dealer for repairs. It cost me over 1K. I kept up with the maintenance as instructed by the dealer, including oil changes, etc. But now, my car has completely died. The mechanic at the dealer said it would cost over 5K to fix, and it's not worth it. The mechanic said it was nothing I did wrong or anything I failed to do; it was the ***. Basically, I was sold a lemon, a problem car. I understand the "as is" policy for used cars, but don't you expect a car that cost you over 9K to last more than 19 months? I am out of a car and out of the money I paid for this car that should NOT have been resold. The radio had been ripped out, and no one could fix it (this was at purchase). They never told me that the radio didn't work or that the wires couldn't be re-established. They were not upfront with anything. I feel that this company lied, they are deceitful and can't be trusted at ALL. I can provide dealer invoices for work done if requested.
