never installed my garage
I was promised a garage in a matter of a couple of months... after they got my deposit I never heard back from Joe... I had to call him every time and ask what is going on... He made up stories and promises each time and in the end, did nothing. I asked for my deposit back and he would not comply. I had to take him to court to get my deposit back. The worst customer experience ever

I ordered a steel garage through Joes' Cycle Repair in Mechanicville NY on 8-24-2016. They send a crew to build it here on 11-10-2016. They show up @7:30 AM, and quickly proceeded to ask for(with broken English) additional money ($150.00, preferably cash) because the 4 inch knee wall was 9ft4.5 inches instead of 9ft, 5inches at the garage door opening. I told the lead man that I would take care of that problem myself and that there would be NO additional bills paid. After about twenty minutes, he said that the entry door placement was wrong and the he did not have any bracing that would be required to fix this problem. I informed him that NO ONE at his company gave me any indication that there would be a specific placement of the entry door.He stated that "That's what happens when you buy this by telephone." ? He then got into his truck and left. I then received a call from Carolina Carports that I would be charged an additional $500.00 for a return visit and that I would not be able to receive a refund of $1, 385.00 because I sent them back. I did not send them back, They Left! Joe in Mechanicville doesn't know anything about this knee wall that I have been talking to him about for the last three months. He has been no help whatsoever. In fact, he told me that $500.00 dollars is not such a bad price to pay for my mistake. ? There have been mistakes made aplenty, they don't communicate with each other and hold the customer responsible and my mistake was ever trusting this bunch of lowlife thieves in the first place.

I believe this was because he underpriced his job and had already been paid his commission from the carport company. I reached out to him at least two dozen times through texting and phone calls to finish my job but he never did. I was very reluctant to leave this review but I feel it is necessary for people to understand his work ethic. I'm very disappointed in him because he was so polite and courteous when I first met him. He assured me that everything was going to go perfect and he would be there for me if there were any problems. I was also very disappointed with his correspondence after the job was completed. When I called his cell phone he did not pick up and when I called the motorcycle shop I had to block my caller ID to get them to pick up the phone. I even went by the shop one day and I saw he was in the shop and called but his employee said he was not there. It was at that point I just went home and decided not to deal with him anymore.
