Jay Fencing

Jay Fencing Ltd did a terrible job with our fence installation. We had agreed that the posts and fence would be placed on the property line. However, while the contractor was installing the posts, our neighbor, who isn't even paying for the fence, raised concerns about the property line. Instead of consulting with me, the contractor took it upon themselves to move the fence inward on both sides.

When I noticed this mistake, I reached out to the contractor and asked them to fix it. They initially offered to move the posts to the agreed-upon location for one side, which we were splitting with the neighbor. But for the other side, they insisted that I needed written or verbal consent from the neighbor, even though our original agreement was to place the fence on the property line. Unfortunately, I couldn't obtain this consent at the time.

The contractors were well aware of the requirement to place the fence on the property line before they started the work. They had already placed the posts well inside my property line on the other side, even though we were splitting the cost with the neighbors. This lack of communication and disregard for the agreement was frustrating.

To make matters worse, the contractor refused to correct the mistake and actually pulled out of the job. Now we're left with fence posts in the wrong location, not properly set, and dangerously sitting in the holes without any support. On top of that, they didn't even refund our deposit.

I spoke to the owner, who goes by the name "Jay," and he flat out refused to make the necessary corrections on both sides. He even said that he doesn't need the job or the money. So, I had to ask my own guys to leave the job unfinished.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Jay Fencing Ltd. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and refusal to correct their mistakes have left us with a poorly installed fence and a loss of our deposit. I would not recommend their services to anyone.
