I rented an apartment in this community in November of 2019. I left in May of 2020, breaking my lease, after being furloughed from my job due to Covid, and being in a dangerous domestic situation. I was in constant contact with the manager, who had my forwarding address and phone number for any remaining balances owed. I was never notified or informed of what needed to be paid to break the lease, or even what I owed exactly. In March 2021, I received a letter from an attorney's office stating that I owed the apartments roughly $7000! I contacted them, asking why, and was given a breakdown of charges, including a bogus charge stating that the refrigerator shelf was missing, which it was not, and that there was a dent in the refrigerator that we did not put there. It was on top of the refrigerator. The apartment was rented to another tenant within 30 days of my moving out. I believe they are double dipping, and they also kept my deposit. I have called the main office several times and have been unable to get any help from an yone.

Desired outcome: I would like this account removed from my credit.
