I am an Army Veteran and my husband still serves and is out of country. We have had nothing but problems since moving in to this rental; starting with having to pay nearly $7,000 to move into a house that was filthy, had reminents of drug use, and some of the appliances inoperable. It was a pain getting maintenance to fix any of the issues, even if an appointment was scheduled it was often rescheduled for a later date or if we took time off to be there the time frames would get later until it was told they need to reschedule. There was a fire that broke out that luckily a passersby informed us of allowing me to get out there and start putting out the fire and call the fire department. We were then informed if the fire had not been noticed for another 20 minutes it would have been fully engulfed. Invitation Homes accused us of being responsible for the fire until an electrician confirmed it being an electrical fault. It took nearly a month to get the side of the house repaired. My husband was put on orders in March and were incorrectly cut, so our BHA had stopped. He made multiple attempts to let Invitation Homes know that his pay was incorrect and finance is working on the issue, but his voice-mails and emails went unanswered until we fell behind on rent. Then all of a sudden they are reaching out. My husband sent them a memo from his Commander informing them of the situation, (and we had been served our 1st eviction notice). Even with the memo the Manager asked for me to come down there with certified funds so they would drop the case. I refused and went to the hearing only to find out the case was dropped! They slapped us with a new eviction, and then sent an email saying due to my not responding they proceeded with the eviction, regardless of the fact that my husband not only told them he was the Point of Contact he had emailed them earlier in the day to inform them of the progress he was having with finance.

Desired outcome: Both evictions removed from our records, all of the late fees and legal charges removed.
