OH MY GOD I am so surprised that there are no complaints about them up until now.
Where do I start.
It's a gorgeous little meat market and grocery store in DeKalb, they have some great products, and the employees are a really friendly community. But it's privately owned by the Inboden family, who don't know how to run a business, they hire people who are desperate for jobs, and then they treat them like ### until they quit, the turnaround rate for employees there is ridiculous. Hence, pretty much nobody knows what's going on and there is little or no training. If you get a job there, expect 12 hour days, 6 days a week, minimum wage, no chance of promotion, one 15-30 min. break a day (illegal), and you will be called stupid, a ###, a piece of ###, a "doper", etc. by the bosses at any given time that they feel you aren't working hard enough. They will yell. You will also be expected to go along with the bosses sexual jokes, including statements about your underwear, where they want to ### you, how they want to ### you, and how big their dicks are (whether you are male or female), these statements are everyday occurrences.
Besides the management, I'd also be wary of certain things as a customer there, as they break many codes. The ground round beef is the same stuff as the ground sirloin (lying to the customer / false advertising). The fish that they claim is wild caught is farm raised. The ham salad is made from ham, turkey, pork, beef, salami, etc. that generally sits out (unrefrigerated) for a day before being ground into ham salad. One time, the power went out there for a whole weekend, their generator only kept one or two freezers running, the display cases were down to room temp. the whole weekend, and on Monday they still sold most of that food to the customers, everything that wasn't moldy or melted, including salads with mayo in them. So, yea, really gross, but other than that, there's some good finds there, so I wouldn't complain about ALL of their products, but be wary.

I worked at Inbodens for over 8 months (shocker for the turn around rate). It as the WORSE experience of my life. The "owners" were complete jerks who just wanted to make sure that people knew they ruled the roost. Being called names like "###ed", "fat pig", "piece of ###", and the racial slurs that came out of that place. They were calling some of the nicest black people I have ever known the "N-Word" in the middle of the store and in the back room! How does that happen? Are we back in the 1950s? The ILLIGAL breaks were freaking crazy. Sure during your 12 hours of non-stop work, go ahead and take a 15 minute break, only one. Oh and no phones allowed and basically no talking. What the hell is that? There were times that I was afraid to come into work because of the names and the way they treated their employees. I was slowly becoming more than just a deli person, but once you get on their bad side, yah, good luck. There was a girl there at the time who got hurt. That poor thing, the things I heard people say and make up to make it sound like it was HER fault. I cannot believe some of the things. I remember she was kicked out of the store because she asked for help with her medical bills. Then being called a lying pig and more. Such a sad situation. That is why I decided that it was time to get out of that place. I quit. I will never again step foot into that place. I have told many members of my family to stay away and they have. I have made several BAD reviews. The place just needs to be left alone to rot on it's own. They will piss someone off eventually who will snap and everything will come crashing down. Worse work place in the entire area. Prospective hires, BEWARE.
