So, we decided to give Impromptu Gourmet a try and ordered the beef wellington. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the spot for us. However, we also ordered the turkey and boy, oh boy, was it a winner! I'm a huge fan of turkey and this one did not disappoint. It was juicy and flavorful, and the pastry crust was simply scrumptious. I couldn't help but rave about it to my friends and family. Overall, I would highly recommend giving Impromptu Gourmet a chance, just make sure to try the turkey!

I recently received a package from impromptugourmet.com as a sympathy gift, and I have to say, I was disappointed with the presentation. The package arrived in a huge styrofoam container, which I suppose was necessary to keep the food cold, but it seemed excessive and wasteful. To make matters worse, the dry ice bag was ripped, which caused some of the soup boxes to come open during transit. When I opened the package, I was greeted with a mess of soup boxes and ice packs, and it was clear that the contents had been jostled around quite a bit.

To add insult to injury, the only indication of who had sent the package was an invoice on very cheap paper that had been torn in half. It seemed like a missed opportunity to include a personalized note or card, which would have made the gift feel more thoughtful and special.

Now, I want to be clear that this review is not about the quality of the food itself. I haven't had a chance to try everything yet, but the items look and smell delicious. However, the lackluster presentation definitely detracted from the overall experience. It felt like I was receiving a bulk order from a discount warehouse, rather than a carefully curated selection of gourmet treats.

Overall, I think impromptugourmet.com has some work to do in terms of presentation and packaging. While the food itself may be high quality, the overall impression left something to be desired. If you're looking for a gift that feels truly special and thoughtful, you may want to look elsewhere.

This company is not worth your time or money. There are plenty of other companies out there that offer great customer service, unlike Impromptu Gourmet. It seems like they have people working remotely from their homes, which is fine, but it takes them over 48 hours to respond to your inquiries. I recently placed an order for Christmas dinner that cost me over $300. I needed to update my shipping address because I had moved over 5 years ago, so I did that. However, when I reviewed my order confirmation, I noticed that their system defaulted back to my old address. This wouldn't be a problem with a good company, but Impromptu Gourmet is not a good company.

When I tried to revise or cancel my order, I was told that there was no way to do this once the order was placed. Really? I had to wait until Monday at 8:00 am to call customer service, and when I finally spoke to someone and explained the issue, I was told that a case would be opened, and I would be called back within 24-48 hours. Unbelievable! My order was looking to be shipped out to an address that was an hour away from where I currently live, and that's all I got. I emailed them three times and phoned them multiple times to follow up on "my case," but still, my order went to the old address, and they just didn't care.

UPS told me that all they needed to do as the sender was to contact them and re-route the delivery to my current address, but they sat on their hands and did nothing at all. Three days later, they emailed me to say that this was "human error," so it was my fault, and all they would do was send a replacement at 50% of my cost, and I would have to pay the full $50 shipping charge AGAIN. They can kiss my ***! I reached out to my realtor, who got in touch with the new owners of my previous home, and they were kind enough to keep my perishable items frozen until I could drive an hour to pick them up this weekend. Luckily, my order mistakenly went to some good people, but it could have turned out very differently.

Impromptu Gourmet, shame on you! I hope your company goes under very soon due to your lack of customer service. I will be unsubscribing from all catalogs and emails from your company because I would never buy from you again, and I will tell anybody who will listen that they shouldn't either!
