Huntington Learning Center in Little Rock treats its employees poorly and takes advantage of its customers. The materials they use are sometimes up to 20 years out of date, the methods they use are so rigid and lockstep that if your child has any unusual circumstances they will simply not know how to handle them, and additionally the owners have very little education experience -- one of the owners has an education degree but has never worked in a classroom or actually taught on a full time basis. I have also witnessed quite a bit of incompetence and dishonesty there, including violating their own policies when it comes to employee regulations. This business is not, no matter what they say, mostly concerned about the welfare and education of your children. They are concerned about the welfare of their own pocketbooks. Avoid them.

The commercial shows a boy with a low grade T shirt. Then a mother and son in the back ground. Get rid of the boy with low grade shirt in commercial. instead show the mom getting help for her son by calling Huntingdon then the rest of the commercial showing his parents his great test score.

Horrible experience. I spent $3600 there and most of my time was spent taking placement tests. Everything they use is outdated and the one on one tutoring they promised was a joke. I would sit at my desk with my hand raised for over 10 minutes at a time while the tutor was trying to help others. One time I sat there over 30 minutes while I could see the tutor in her office eating lunch and listening to music. For the amount of money I spent on this I could have gotten better results just doing a $30 online program. They claim to have the best methods for learning but it's all just advertising, they don't care for their customers at all they are in it for the money.

We made appointments for two children after seeing an ad for a special rate on the assessments. Even after confirming appointment through call center they refused to honor the quoted discounted rate as seen on national TV. I paid. I feel that their refusal to honor the current campaign they are promoting sets the tone for what any future dealings with them may bring... and that being negative encounters. I do hope the office on Cantrell road in Little Rock, AR corrects this mistake and improves on customer service.

My husband and I put our child, who was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in first grade, through the program at Huntington. They are very expensive. At first, we really thought they were the only ones who were going to be able to help him in his grades and being able to learn properly. They talk to you there like if you don't follow what they are saying you are failing your child. Looking back, while we were talking to the lady the whole time I'm thinking I hope they are being honest about my child. We did the program for about three or four months because I wanted the very best for our son. I really believe it was a waste of time and energy. I don't understand there actual methods! Our son is nine and in third grade and making A's with one B here or there. I do believe kids go through different growing sperts and that some retain and learn faster than others. That doesn't mean that they are going to fail in life at all. But I agree with the other post most definitely they seem to almost try and brainwash you. My advice is to do your homework and like anything, GET A SECOND OPINION on the learning aspects of your child.

I go Huntington and it does nothing! The people are rude and get into all of my personal business. All they want is your money. Almost every child has trouble with school one time or another and Huntington makes it seem like you have to have there services or you child will fail in life. Huntington is a waste of time and a lot of money! The employers are weird and have no commonsense. They say they use a special method by going back and filling in the cracks of things you didn't learn, but everyone does that! duh! They are sneaky people who brainwash parents into thinking their children can learn over night And that they have the solution. trust me they don't. I have not learned anything since i have been there. They go over unnecessary things that are made for 5 year olds! I'm 14. They make you come as often as you can to get your money. i go on saturdays! SATURDAYS! And everyday the rest of the week! I make A's and b's only! They make me sound like i have ADHD! i dont! school has never been a problem for me!
