Details below listed about an order placed for a certified copy of a marriage certificate. After the stipulated time I was advised by a further email stating no trace can be found on the details I have supplied, this email came from a chap called David Stokes. It also stated it was now in the next stage of a manual search. I telephoned [protected] at 10.44 on 30/11/2016 asking for further details as my email dated 22/11/2016 had not been responded to and was told the same again "its in a manual search and it has a deadline of 12/12/2016 " if they are unable to find anything a full refund will be issued". Doesn't appear to be legitimate to me I have had to chase them no apology and I have requested written confirmation to my email address, which they confirmed over the telephone and was told this will be with me in an hour. I am concerned that this may be a scam.
The website may look the part, the service and professionalism is not apparent. Can I keep up date this initial complaint? I may receive this email and the refund then again judging on past performance I may well not and would not wish any other people to fall fowl of this website.

I requested a copy of a death certificate but they have advised me that no death can be found, This death definitely happened and now they say they are keeping £15 for doing the search. I thought that as i had paid through paypal £15.98 then this was a safe company to use. It seems that this is just a scam

I applied for certificates from this company who charged an exorbidant price. I am cross with myself that I got taken in by their site but they looked official. I have checked at the High Court in London who says that they do have a contact name in the 'company' - Mark Wheeler - but he is unreachable and phones are always engaged or never answered. I am trying to reclaim the money from my credit card company on the basis that this is a fraudulent service.

I ordered online a replacement birth cetificate at a cost of £14.95 which was paid for by debit card. This was in november 2009, after making numerous phone calls of which only two were answered, and sending e mails still no certificate. They said the certificate was posted on the 3rd of december 2009 and would look in to it and call me back but never did. If you check the address it is also a business called kaptan grocers!
