Houzz Pro review: Lead generating service

I signed up for the Houzz Pro lead generating service for 1 year at a cost of $2,390. At the end of the one year cycle and having received no viable leads I decided to cancel this service. I called them and instructed them to cancel on 12-20-21. I was told by the person I was speaking with that they would contact my account manager and it would be taken care of. Upon seeing my credit card still being charged ($239/mo.) in January and February I contacted Houzz once again. This time I was told that an e-mail was sent to me on 12-22-2021 informing me that I had needed to send them a written notice 30 days prior to my contract expiration date which was [protected]. Since I hadn't done that I was informed that my contract had been extended for another year and I would be charged $239/ month for the rest of the year.

None of this 'cancellation policy' was ever mentioned to me upon signing up for their service and it certainly wasn't described in the documents that I was given. Apparently the cancellation terms and policy are contained in a 'link' listed in my agreement which they have hidden in the 'footnotes'.

This service and their practices are dispicable and wouldn't be done by any reputable service.

I ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS SURVICE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
