Hotwire Hotel reservation

My family and I were travelling from North Carolina to Michigan. We thought we could drive through the night, however we decided to stop and catch a few hours of shut eye. Reservation was made for July 23rd, at 2:00 a.m. on July 23rd, 2017. Upon arriving at the hotel at approximately 2:30 a.m. we were told the hotel was completely booked, there were no rooms available. I asked the gentleman at The Hyatt Place in Dublin, Ohio if they did not have an available room could the reservation be changed to the following Sunday, July 30 th when we would be travelling back through on our way home. I was told nothing could be done at all. My account had been charged for an unavailable room. Ended up sleeping in a Wal-Mart parking lot because we were unable to find a vacancy at other nearby hotel.

Hotwire Reservations

I just made a reservation in Baton Rogue. I called the Hotel to ask some questions and it turns out, the accomodations will not work out . I called Hotwire CC and the person on the other end was rude. I need to change to a different hotel please. Will be traveling with a mentally challenged child. I have asked to be called back. I will not speak to a rude person who will not let me speak and who will not listen to my complaint. I am the customer, you are the server.

Hotwire Overbooked

After driving 2 hours to the Pittsburgh airport, then a 5 hour layover once in Chicago, and 2 hour flight back, I was glad to get myself and my 3 year old grandson to Hilton Executive Lakes Hotel. Except, when I got there, they informed me they were overbooked. While they did give me a voucher to another hotel, it was very upsetting arriving to hotel only to learn I didn't have a room. They seemed very indifferent to my situation.
I arrived at the next hotel and even the girl waiting on me had mentioned how tired I looked. This is the first time I've ever had any problems through Hotwire like this, but unfortunately it's left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm leery about going through this company again especially with Trivago, Hotels.com, Expedia, etc. I still had always used Hotwire. It leaves me with a lot to consider
Is it possible for a free stay anywhere just for the inconvenience?

Hotwire Dish tv

Live in Leisure Village West Nj. Turned on TV July 19. No channels except for Dish 101 video. Called Hotwire and heard recording outage in LVW. Around 5pm next day called rep. Unsure about situation and was going to write ticket. Told her "no" and I called back. Spoke to a tech support rep and stated situation and problem with two boxes. We were on phone for about 45 minutes trying to resolve. Finally TV channels appeared. However I did not check second box but found later that box did not have the proper channels. Called tech support. On phone close to an hour . Rebooted TV several times but didn't work. Called again. Over one hour and rep added a ticket because couldn't get channels. but rep stated no house call until next week. I called again this morning and spoke to Carla who was helpful. Call lasted awhile but channels appeared. When I hung up channels disappeared again. Frustrated I followed her previous instructions and channels appeared. Hoping that they stay. Also I disconnected second TV in December but left box. Added a TV in June but box didn't work apparently because of no activity. New box provided. Think I should receive some sort of refund. Hotwire Customer service

Do not use hotwire for travel. I reserved an international flight from portland, or to new zealand on business class. There was a flight change on the domestic leg that needed to occur and each time (Out of five) I called into hotwire and I got no resolution, including through a supervisor. One issue is that after 40 minutes the call ends. No one at hotwire calls me back even though they take my phone number. I have spent hours of time trying to get a flight change resolved. Hotwire is a service call center that doesn't know what it's doing. Total incompetence. These are service agents given a script but have no knowledge about travel. I will never use hotwire or expedia, their parent company, again.

Hotwire Flight cancelled due to weather

Possibly worse customer service experience ever! Don't know where exactly they are farming out their customer service to, but they barely speak English and cannot answer basic questions. Went round round for an hour, after sitting in an airport for 6 hours, with no answer on how to get a refund for a flight cancelled by the airline. I finally just hung up out of frustration. They called me back at 3am! If you find deal where you save $20 through Hotwire DON'T DO IT! If something goes wrong you will be SOL! Not worth it.

Hotwire Hotel reservations

I am a self-employed business person... Had to be in atlanta, ga fri-sunday july 14-16, 2017... Already knew it would be a very busy week-end. Booked a room on hotwire... Only to discover that the hotel was hundreds of miles away in marietta, ohio. Haywire refused to correct the mistake... Refused to take responsibility and provide us another hotel room... The service manager was not helpful because she was powerless to correct hotwire's screw-up. We are excellent customers have been for years, but quite disgusted with the customer service. Will look for other options... Because of too many risks associated with doing business with a company that has little regard for their loyal customers.

Attention Manager of the Complaint Department:

I wanted to cancel this car rental because my son was involved in a car accident in Atlanta on June 30th on the freeway there. His car was totaled, so he had to buy another vehicle. It turned out that their new car has an automatic transmission, which I can drive. Their other vehicles had a manual transmission, so I couldn't drive their cars. I have called three times and been given the run around. My son didn't seek medical treatment, so there are no medical bills. I have nothing good to say about this company because you treat good customers like dirt! It is obvious you don't know how to treat a good customer. I only wanted a refund for this car rental. I will make sure my friends know how you treat a valued customer. You can say goodbye to my business after this because I will not use you ever in the future. What a bunch of baloney that you can't give out the name of the Customer Service Manager or your President.

Hotwire Reservation didn't go through but money was withdrawn from bank account

I booked a reservation through hotwire.com and said there was en error in the reservation and that I was not going to get charged for it. Well, that was a lie. The money had already been taking out of my available balance and after being on the phone for 45 minutes with a customer service representative and his supervisor they did not solve my problem. They kept saying they can't collect the funds yet my bank had already authorized to release the funds and pay them. The only option they were willing to have be was to try to "expedite" my refund process with my bank when it wasn't my bank's fault. They do not care about their customers and don't try to help them in any way. I thought this was a company that could be trusted but I was wrong.

Hotwire Hotel reservation

I tried to cancel my hotel and when I talked to the agent she said that my hotel can't be cancelled without documention. The day I was going to leave to Vegas, which is 6 hours away from home, the hotel told me my reservation was cancelled. They didn't send me a cancellation email. They have horrible customer service. The higher up manager was rude and told me, I can't get my room back or get my $270 refund unless I have documentation saying why I wanted to cancel. They have the ability to book another hotel for me, yet they refuse to do it even though their service includes hotel booking. I am so unsatisfied with this company. They are cheap. I even paid for the insurance, in order to be able to cancel the hotel. Yet, I can't get a refund or another hotel. The manager also hung up on me.

Hotwire Rental car

Rented a car to drive from Sam Diego to Las Vegas- same day rental and return. Put my card info in where I was asked to, got a confirmation that my car was rented and paid for. My email even states that I paid on June 30th, with the last four digits of my card. Got to the airport to pick up the car, company stated that I never paid for my rental and needed a credit card from me to complete the rental agreement. Had to pay another $100 to rent the vehicle and could not-for the life of me-get in touch with a human being to resolve my problem. The phone number would only allow me to talk to a recording- even hung up on my when I pushed the wrong number. There is no email for customer service, just a few for potential hotels, ads, and affiliates. I even tried to do the live chat, wrote my concerns and submitted my chat request. The chat page couldn't open, it kept telling me I wasn't connected to the internet. How is a person supposed to get anything taken are of or fixed without an actual human connection. Worst company I have ever worked with. Would NEVER, NEVER work with them again.

Hotwire Low price guarantee

I am very displeased on your customer service and low price guarantee. I booked my vacation with hotwire, the following morning I went into your site again and found the same package, same hotel, same airfare and car rental. I waited for a response for your service and got nothing. I called and spoke with a customer service representative that I formed me she would get in contact the with that department and I would receive an email regarding my claim. I waited again for 5 days and no response. Today I called spoke with a representative that told me anot email was sent on the 13th of June, which I did not receive. I told him I did not receive he could not send me another email and told me the low price email did not apply. No specifics. I followed your instructions as told in your site, the new booking I found was exactly the same. The difference was the price a difference of around $150.00. I have booked various vacations with your site and always relied on your services. After this false reaction form hotwire I don't think I will be using your services anymore. If your company says they will provide a service you should follow with your guarantee.

Hotwire Charged in different currency

For both of my reservations (Hotwire itineraries [protected] and [protected]) I've been charged in a different currency than I preferred. So in fact, I overpaid 12 dollars for both of my transactions). Even my bankaccount is blocked by this transactions due to 'unusual activity' (I live in the USA and was charged by Euro through HOtwire Germany on Paris, because they charged in Euro's in stead of dollars). I would appreciate to get reimbursed for the exchange rate (12 dollars) and the inconvenience.

Hotwire Hotwire tried to keep my money after blocking my reservation

I tried to make a reservation online with hotwire BECAUSE I have done it before but it was telling me that it was an error and it didn't charge my card I never received a confirmation of a reservation. I checked my bank statements and noticed that hotwire DID CHARGE my card so I called Hotwire and they told me they blocked my reservation BECAUSE my card was fraudulent but my card was in my name and in good standing. I stressed the issue about why they took money off my card if my card was fraudulent they couldn't give me answers they kept transferring me to Risk Team Management and that department didn't respond to my calls and kept hanging up on me as I waited to speak to a Rep. I had to call my card holder services and hotwire together on a conference call in order to get the situation handle

Hotwire Poor customer service! Really poor, embarrassing!

Really, unbelievable...!

Reservation made Jun 20 for hotel, received confirmation, call to confirm hotel, hotel says no rooms and do not have confirmation... supervisors DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY are doing... I simply wanted a good comfortable room for my daughtr which I paid for... In the Interim on 2.45 HOURS the supervisor JP could not take care of the situation... This is definately Final booking at Hotwire and its affiliates! I asked supervisor tocheck with hotel, perhaps confimation came through, he would not do it... I could not, HE would not accommodate me in another property and in the interim so many available hotels became unavailable... I only wanted what I paid for, a 2 star hotel in the vicinity as offered and booked initially... So sick of hearing I am sorry, I apologive, and off the wall comments that do not even matter... Finally I beggef him to call hotel again and check on confirmation... behold they got it but still I did not receive check in instructions, I am on hold with LYN who again put me through the ringer talking about information that does not matter!... Really Hotwire, now almost 3 hours... reference [protected] for my daughter Raffelina Grano checking in tonight!... Horrific...!
Will pass on o all mytravelling friends not to trust Hotwire... Sorry but not worth booking through you or your affiliates... will use others..

Hotwire Hotel booking

My parents went on a trip to Berkeley CA. I decided to treat them a Father's day gift by paying for their hotel. I went on Hotwire to find a decent hotel at a good price. I was happy and proud to give my father a gift for Father's day. Imagine my shame when I got a call from my dad that the hotel clerk and manager told them that they didn't have a reservation. My father handed them the confirmation page but the manager insisted that it wasn't in the system. When I finally got a hold of someone from Hotwire, it turns out they didn't send something called a V card. All I got was words of apology. They said that they were sending the Vcard at that moment. It didn't do my parents any good since they were tired and had already left to find somewhere to stay for the night. I was then offered a refund. Ok, little comfort and not what I call making things right. I'm ashamed that my Father's day gift was a sham. My parents had to suffer the shame of being turned away. Neither of us did anything wrong. Hotwire dropped the ball and all they'll do to make things right is a refund. That's not making it right. This was my first booking with Hotwire, trust me it'll be my last. Next time I'll spend the extra money to know that I can count on my stay and peace of mind.

Hotwire Not accurate rating

I decided to book a hotel after it show me that it has a rating 4.5 out of five at TripAdvisor (300-500 votes)

However, after I booked it, it show me that it is for a hotel has only 4 of 5 🌟 (990 votes).

This is not accurate and misleading your costumer.

Hotwire Car rental

I made reservation on 0611/2017 one way from Newark airport to Middletown New York on 06/152017, I did not know that the reservation was at the airport, you gave me a price of total $ 52.00, at the airport I have to pay $110.00 for lousy 4 hour of rental, I don't appreciate that your company lied to the public to rip customer or your employer that you train to do that, thank for your prompt attention to this matter

Hotwire Cable

So my cable is out and has been since the 9th.Two days of me calling them to see when they can fix.
They never call me though. Earliest they can have someone out is the 19th. There website says whit glove service blah blah blah. I can't wait to push to get rid of Hotwire at next Hoa meeting.
They are a joke who takes 10 days to even think about restoring someone's cable. U fortunately it's clear horltwire does not care about its customers. I call and they are basically like whatever 10 days is first time someone can look at your cable.
Hopefully as I continue to review the terrible service online maybe others won't get stuck with them.I know a lot of my neighbors wish we did not have Hotwire and i will be encouraging everyone at next hoa meeting for us to get rid of them

Same happened here. Hotwire is ridiculous. They'll take 10-14 days to fix your service, but will they prorate it? Nope. And it's not just Hotwire. This entire industry needs to be cracked down on. They get away with it because they have geographic monopolies.

I will never ever use Hotwire again. I will tell my story in every platform possible. I go to book my hotel and thinking I got a good deal only to be screwed up big time by the deception of Hotwire website. I thought I was getting a hotel that is 2.5 stars only to find myself in a garbage motel. I have never been deceived so badly. I called Hotwire immediately to correct it and I was told it is not possible to change the reservation. I have never been deceived so badly in my life!
