I had surgery in February, 2023, with many doctor appointments before and after the surgery. Every time I have seen a doctor or physical therapist I have paid my copay. Sometimes I paid in the doctor's office, other times I paid on MyChart before going to the doctor's appointment. I like to keep careful track of my own finances, but apparently Honor Health has a way of moving money around in their system that I can't understand or reconcile with my own payments. The payments I make to a particular doctor end up in another doctor's account, and Honor Health then sends me a bill for non payment for the doctor I visited. At one point I received a bill for over $400 for supposedly unpaid copays, and also a few situations when my insurance didn't cover a visit. I put in claims to my insurance, and when they reversed their decisions, Honor Health had to really search for the insurance payments to find them. I have talked to at least 3 representatives of the billing department. Only one was helpful and supposedly cleared up the problems with my bill. After that, I got another bill for a copay for a follow-up appointment on July 25, '23 with my oncologist, which I had paid for in office. I have proof of all my payments, but that doesn't seem to matter, as payments are mis-applied and/or get lost in the system, so there is no way I can reconcile my account. I've been with Honor Health since 1991, have had many procedures, and this is the first time I've ever seen this happen. I'm 73, and do not look forward to more of the same crazy accounting. Hopefully Honor Health can clean up its bookkeeping. It's not easy trying to stay on top of Honor Health's accounting system when you are recuperating from cancer surgery.

Desired outcome: Please be honest, honorable and up-front with your accounting and billing.
