To whom it may concern,
We are EXTREMELY disappointed with Holland America cruises line.
We called sometime in 2022, we understood that if we change our booking in US dollars, we could apply our futur cruise deposit of 600.00 US $ ID: [protected] made the 29th. of June 2018 aboard the Massdam.
We were not able to use this deposit since the COVID pandemic broke out.
On septembre 7th. 2022 we booked a cruise Montreal-Boston the bill is in CA$.
On the 12th. of September we send an Email asking if we could apply our 600.00 US$ deposit to that booking. We were told that it could not be done because the original bill was in CA$, and the deposit in US $.
To make that transaction possible we would have to cancel the original booking and rebooked it in US $. So on the 4th. of January 2023 we called to make the changes. The person answering was Mary, (very polite) after trying for quiet a while she transferred me to a (specialist). Suddenly a lady came to the phone and I reexplained the whole situation.
She manage to rebooked that same cruise in US $. only to find out that our deposit had been change to a credit by Holland and this credit has now an EXPIRATION DATE which was never confirm to us.
Since we can't no longer use this 600.00 US $ could you please refund us.
