Thermostat default code 179: No communication with outdoor unit, after 5 service calls issue have not been resolved. After a maintenance service call, our thermostat was not communicating with outdoor unit code 179, there have been 5 or 6 service calls with no resolve. The unit is 3 years and was installed by Healthy Homes. The contractor could not find anything wrong with the outdoor unit suggested we replace Motherboard when he changed with new at first it did not work, he rebooted the Thermostat we had cool air for 3 weeks before the code communication return, the same service guy call carrier for help. The service guy is just as frustrated re-booted thermostat. After three more visits we are still having an issue. Last visit Healthy Homes suggested we rewire outdoor unit directly to thermostat. We decided to get a second opinion and found out there are some wires that were not done properly when they installed the unit 3 years ago. And he would prefer not to proceed as professional in his opinion Healthy homes should do the right thing and correct the issue. After speaking to the owner and sending an email with the other licensed contractor findings. They did not agree and would only complete with a charge of course of rewiring the thermostat to outdoor unit. My issue is that every time Healthy Homes came out they would always say they were 99% sure by changing motherboards /moving motherboard from location in unit to another it would be fine. Interesting enough we are still rebooting the thermostat. XXXXX.00 unit that is only 3 years old that is not working properly not fair at all and it's above 90*. Not happy at all.
