I get my health insurance throught the health market place, first of all they hire people that do not understand what they are doing. They put me into the wrong plan because the rep on the phone doesn't know how to do math, I called to correct this issue and they put me into another plan that I did not pick and cost to much, so I called again with the rep from AM better on the phone and the rep at the market place supposedly cancelled out the first two plans and redid my application which cause a huge delay in getting coverage, and they were supposed to send the information to AM better letting them know the first two plans were cancelled. they redid a whole new application with me and the AM better rep on the phone making my insurance not available until March. Health marker never sent over the cancellation notices for the fist two screwups they made and ambetter is trying to tell me I have to pay for both plans as well as the one that went into effect on March 1st. I called ambetters corporate office and filed a complaint and they assured me they would fix it Needless to say they did not and are trying to tell me I have to pay for the plan that was supposed to start Feb 1st as well as the one for March 1st. I cannot afford insurance that is why I used the market place insurance. I am 63 years old and have some health issues that I need medication for and now because of this royal screw up by the market place and the AM better insurance company trying to rip me off I have no insurance and cannot get my medications that I need. I told ambetter I want my money back for the March plan and now I have to wait until November for open enrollment to get health insurance. Am better trys to rip me off telling me I have to pay for the february plan or my insurance is going to be cancelled. they expect me to cough up $404.00. If I had that kind of money I would have just gotten insurance on my own for a reputable comapny like United Health Care. I live in South Carolina and this Ambetter is located in St. Louis MO. I told them I want my money back and I cancelled out the march insurance since they were going to cancel it anyway for what they claim is non payment for the February plan that I didn't choose the market place put me in the wrong one. I am also going to file a complaint with the state insurance, the attorney generals office in both states and I am going to contact channel 7. I am going to let every one how these companies are supposed to be there to help the people who cannot afford insurance through their jobs or what ever and instead they screw you over and rip you off. I truly hope you do something about this because if not you will be included in the complaint to the Attorney General and channel 7
