Healing harvest homestead is a company offering online herbal, aromatherapy, gardening, off grid and youtube classes and courses. Heidi is a seemingly very nice knowledgeable person who is very passionate about her craft.

She offers a lot of free courses and incormation which first attracted me to her company.

This is where I have a problem. . .

-The handouts are grammatical inconsistent. While this may seem trival, if you're any kind of reader, errors and inconsistencies stand out.

-The platforms kyojobi and mighty have glitches.

-Recently, i purchased an aromatherapy course, which is a brand new "beta" course. Besides an ad video, there were no videos or handouts so the student had to blindly purchase the course.

-Once purchased, there was only a welcome video, no handouts or class videos were available to review the course. Even on the start date, students were still waiting for class content to be loaded. Didn't think much of it at the time but, it should have been a flag.

-the prices are steadily increasing, which in the current economy, is disheartening but i guess, expected. For example, there is an all encompassing, confident tribe which, a few months ago was roughly $1400, it is now $1997.

-Being singled out as the only one who has ever given negative feedback, while somewhat shocking, is their standard.

I signed up for ditch the drugstore (part of the certification) and upgraded to the encompassing family herbalist certification a couple yrs ago. Part of this price included a student group where questions, comments, praises, encouragement, pictures, announcements and live classes are done.

They use two platforms, kyjobe and mighty. Kyjobe is the main school course  platform while mighty is the student platform. Kyojobi has the "library" of your registered courses. Mighty has all the courses, class meetings, live events/classes registrations, current/future/old events, which is full of required information to complete your courses.

Once registered, I waited for the aromatherapy course to be loaded because i thought it would be worth it. I listened to two videos out of 12 chapters (i think this was the total, can't remember as i was locked out of the course) that i can recall. I had technical difficulties with the platform, which i reported and was told i'm the only one so it was "probably" my problem. How insulting!

Since the course was incomplete even after the start date, I requested a refund. I received an email stating i "was told" there is a 2-5 day refund policy. Looked thru my initial email/course info and didn't find this statement. So not true.

Since asking for a refund, I have been kicked out of the mighty platform "for expressed displeasure with the school and not a good fit for the community. Thd community is a bonus and therefore not necessary to complete coursework." I was able to take a picture so will try to post it here. I expressed issues that were valid!

Being kicked out of mighty platform joe says is a bonus that i don't need. A bonus? So now
-I no longer have a platform to ask questions
-I no longer have access to old events/talks and ditch the drugstore live classes which are part of the family herbalist certification!
-Watching old live classes are mandatory to graduate. -I no longer can participate when a live discussion is offered.
-I have been blocked from sending emails
-i no longer receive heidi's weekly emails
-i have been blocked from the free library
-i can no longer register for heidi's free classes

Guess i'm now lumped with the "woo woo" crowd and denied the ability to get my certification which was about $1,000. So essentially i have been denied the ability to graduate and become acertified family herbalist.

I have had technical (tech) difficulties with their various platforms kyojobi and mighty; when i brought it to their attention, their response was i'm the only one who has had any issues! Heidi even suggested it was my problem, not theirs. The platforms don't allow screenshots so i can't take pictures of the tech issues.

I know how to get around a website, have done many online classes and deal with technical difficulties! Seems blameshifting makes them feel justified to keep presenting themselves as the perfect, unblemished company.

I have never been rude on the mighty platform.

So i requested a refund for the aromatherapy course and was denied at first. Joe finally gave me a refund because "heidi doesn't deserve to be stressed out by an unhappy student."

I received two emails from them. . .joe said i needed to use chrome for their programs. I will not use a browzer just because they are unable or unwilling to fix glitches. We were told any computer problems should be brought to their attention. When i first registered it took several weeks to gain access to the platform to access my course. I kept being told i was in the course.. I'd go to register and no access. Eventually i got access.

The 2d email i received offered to remove me from their school & give me whatever refunds i was eligible for. Seriously, after telling me they would not give me a refund & telling me the tech issues are my fault, threatening to remove me shows they don't want any type of negative issues brought to their attention.

Heidi's always saying to let them know questions or comments. What i thought was a willingness to take suggestions or critisisms is very incorrect.

Heidi says she loves her students. I think that stopped with me when i expressed unhappiness with her company. I became the enemy.

Country of complaint: United States

Claimed loss: Ability to graduate

Desired outcome: Regain access to mighty

Your experience with Healing Harvest Homestead is concerning. Issues with course content, rising prices, and platform glitches need addressing. Being blocked from resources after raising valid concerns is unacceptable. Companies should embrace feedback instead of isolating customers. You deserve better support and transparency, especially after your investment.
