Hawaiian/American Airlines review: Charge for baggage

I booked a round trip to Hawaii through Priceline. On my return flights (2/12-13/2023) Hawaiian charged ($25.00) for my checked bag and stated they had no information in their system for my connecting flights, therefore I would have to retrieve my bag at Honolulu and take to American Airlines. When I arrived to American Airlines, they charged ($30.00) for my bag to be sent to my final destination, they said they had no way to waive the fee. The ticket agent did say she was going to make a note stating she charged me as well as Hawaiian Airlines.

Not only did I pay twice to get my bag to the final destination, I also had to go through security again, what an inconvenience. American Airlines ticket agent was able to see all my flights, so I don't understand why Hawaiian Airlines could not.
