Gymboree bad service

After shopping and leaving Children's Place in the same shopping center, I proceeded to continue shopping at Gymboree. While there, my toddler was in an urgent need to use their facilities. Unfortunately they did not allow her to use it, so she soiled her panties. While at Children's Place she had already used the facilities without any problems. She was recently toilet trained and is proud of not wetting or soiling her panties.Incident was unfortunate and traumatic for her. When I asked why using the restroom was not allowed, I was told that they have stock merchandise back there and other equipment. I responded that Children's Place a few doors down has the same setup in the back and has no problem accommodating their young customers. Ashley the store employee just shrugged her shoulders and that was that. I proceeded to pay for my items and advise her that this would be my last purchase at any Gymboree company store.

It's not a retai stores responsibility to have a public restroom for your "recently potty trained" toddler to use. It's YOUR responsibility to ensure your child, who doesn't have full control of her bowels yet, have ready access to facilities and extra clothing available when she has an accident-because she will. I think your kid will get over the "trama" of messing herself. I've never potty trained a kid that didn't have an accident.

I bought a pair of flip flops for my 6 yrs old from Gymboree outlet over the Memorial Weekend. Guess what, one of it broken after 5 days! I bought one pair for my son from Walmart, they even lasted for one year!
I first went to a local store, they said it's not their business.
I called the outlet store I bought from, they refuse to do anything about it unless I drive to the store to exchange. I don't want to waste time and gasoline to just get a new pair of flip flops! Never buy any flip flops from Gymboree!

As a Sales Team Lead I can tell you that the bathroom at MY Crazy 8 store houses cleaning products and chemicals that could be harmful if ingested. There are also spare parts for racks and clothing and accessory displays that make it difficult for US to use our bathroom and it wouldn't be wise to allow a child in there. Our bathroom is functional for employees only, but to allow a child in there would be a safety risk in a number of ways. If anything happened to the child in a private company bathroom, we'd be in hot water with corporate and someone would probably lose their job. The same goes for merchandise theft. I'm not suggesting that the same could be said of the Crazy 8 store you visited, nor am I suggesting you would steal anything, but the rules put in place by corporate are there for a reason to ensure customer safety.

I'm also sorry your experience was negative, but we could lose our jobs for not following direct orders. No customers in the back room. Ever.

I used to work at a gymboree store (not the one this comment is refering to...) the company policy for the safety of the child is to not let them use the store rest room. I couldn't even sit on our toilet, if i wanted to use it i had to move our hanger boxes. It is also unsanitary for the staff. We don't want to use OUR bathroom after your kid has gone pee all over the seat, then we have to clean it up. Eww. There are mall restrooms around you (i'm sure) you could have asked the store to hold the clothes for you and taken your girl to the bath room.

As for the comment about Crazy 8. (For Gymboree Customers Crazy Cash works like Gymbucks). Once the coupon expires there is no way to put it through the till. I'm sorry you had bad serive one time, but really?

yes i have worked retail in several places and it is dangerous for anyone to use the restroom in the stockroom.. thats why there are restrooms located in several locations in a mall. not only that i know places i have worked at we can not let people in the stockroom. They are just doing there job and what there told to do by corporate and breaking policies can cost them there job. I dont know if gymboree is like this but i know everywhere i have this is a company policy. I hate it too when customers come in and take things out on the sales clerks without knowing the facts about anything. They are tring to keep there job by not going against there policies, and yet customers yell and treat them like crap when its not there fault. If you dont like a policy write that particular company. The people there are just doing their job. And that is to keep you and their self safe.

Gymboree expects all their store employees to be caring, helpful and friendly toward customers yet, those at the corporate office don't practice what they preach. As everyone knows, the economy has hit an all time low. This is truly a depression, not a recession. With the unemployment rate being so high, there are lots of people not making the money they once did. As a die hard shopper of Gymboree for the past eleven years, I'm known by many of the sales associates and store managers and they've been great about putting things on hold for me and extending them because they know that I never change my mind on outfits no matter what and rarely ever do I do returns. Too many negative things have happened since Gymboree has undergone new ownership. The shoes have never been of good quality. But the quality of the clothing at Gymboree has gone down hill while their prices continue to go up. Now the corporation has suddenly decided to have an attitude that says "SCREW YOU! We don't care how badly you or your child wants an item! We're not extending your hold because we'd rather sell it to the person with plenty of $$$$$! It doesn't matter how long you've been a customer, what matters is the person with the most $$$$!" I could go to a different brand or store that truly believes in quality customer service but the problem is, no other brand does nearly as well when it comes to resale. There are PLENTY of mommies that would love to see Gymboree start a layaway service. Layaway would make shopping at this store so much easier on parents and kids who love their clothes and holds wouldn't be such an issue. with the way the economy is right now, layaway would help tremendously. But instead, the corporation only cares about the person who has the most money to spend immediately.

this is so untrue ... Gymboree requires their employees to be rude or they are not hired. very bad company will never order or buy anything from them again... when you try to put a review on their website they delete your review and email ya ... Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet our guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish your review next time!

why would you still purchase the items? Why not just leave if you were seriously that upset? Or better, why not leave to find a restroom that your child could go into? It sounds like Children's Place a few doors down had one!

I have recently had a bad experience with a Gymboree owned company which is Crazy 8. They have a promotion time when you can earn crazy cash to use for future purchases, well I became very ill during that time and attempted to have them honor them for me at the store which they said they could not so then I contacted the company by email, which they returned my email the same day about 2pm and they expected you to call back to honor your coupon the same day by 8pm cause they cannot honor it after that so you only have a six hour opening to take care of your problem and after that you are out of luck. They express to me there unwillingness to help and that they really dont care about there customers. I will no longer shop with them unfortunately and will advice all whom I know to do the same . old customer of Crazy 8

Gymboree not responding to arbitration claims!

Cardmember services failed to resolve my dispute closing the case reopening closing reopening closing. Finally I demanded claims and arbitration file# MX0801002032574 National arbitration forum Minnesota [protected]. The case involves microsoft software vista I bought at Target after purchasing the software for over 200.00 and putting it on my newly built system. The software stated it was a illegal build 6000 it was made in Puerto Rico shipped from canada. I checked with microsoft and the product key was valid now card member services refuses to give me back my money according the Visa rules and regulations stating if you have a problem with goods and services you pay the first 50.00 well because I paid 217.00 and accruing interests I should claim 250.00 and I have sent the 3 agreements to arbitrate with no response.
