Three employees from Glass Doctor of Northeast Ohio lied to me about being able to provide a proper color match for the vinyl stop strips needed to replace the glass panes on two of my windows. To make matters worse, they ended up breaking one of the windows while attempting to remove it. I specifically requested brown vinyl, and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However, they went ahead and installed black vinyl instead. On top of that, one of the strips has already come loose just a couple of weeks after the installation.

To add to the confusion, the employees gave me conflicting information regarding the possibility of painting the strips to match the desired color. I have since been advised that painting would not be a viable solution, as it would likely flake or peel off in no time. Despite these issues, I have already paid 50% of the total cost for the job, which amounts to $337.64 out of the $675.28.

One of the windows that they worked on is part of a set of four windows that are located right next to each other. I made it clear to them that achieving a reasonable color match was crucial for these windows. Unfortunately, the black color they used is simply not acceptable. The other window, although not in close proximity to the others, is still not a perfect match either.

We had a small problem with the window - sometimes it got a little foggy and had some condensation. Most of the time, though, the glass was clear. So, we thought it would be a good idea to have a technician come and check it out to see if they could fix it. When the technician arrived, they opened the window and took out a plastic strip to show us that the seal was broken. But when they tried to put the strip back in, it didn't go in smoothly. They ended up trying to force it in, and unfortunately, the glass ended up cracking in two places. The technician told us to talk to their manager, ***, to sort things out. We called the manager twice, but they were really rude and tried to suggest that the window was already cracked before the technician came. They didn't want to take any responsibility for the damage caused by their company and refused to replace the broken glass. Instead, they gave us a quote for over $300 to replace the whole window.

On July 20, 2022, a service technician from Glass Doctor of Northeast Ohio came to my place. He was seven hours late and installed the wrong windshield. It's not put in properly, leaks, and is off-center. You can even hear air coming in around the windshield. On July 22, 2022, I drove my vehicle to their shop in Reynoldsburg to have another technician and a manager review the work. They both told me it was properly installed, but they were lying. I asked them to remove the windshield and refund my money. I said I would have my vehicle towed to a professional. The manager, ***, refused to refund my money and remove the windshield. He claimed I wouldn't be able to drive it. I told him I would just have my car towed to a professional shop. I also told them that if this was the quality of their work from their best employee, as he had previously claimed, then I didn't want any of them working on my car. I asked the manager again to just remove their windshield, and I would take it to professionals. They denied my refund, and my windshield is still not repaired. I called several other windshield repair shops, and they told me it would cost $200 more than originally quoted because the new materials they use are harder to remove. So, besides a refund for my $400 windshield that is installed incorrectly, I would also like them to pay the extra amount the new business is charging me to fix their shoddy work. Any help you can provide in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm concerned about the safety of the improperly installed windshield. Thank you for your time. Sincerely

I'm the manager of ***, a place for folks aged 62 and above and people under 62 with disabilities. On June 6, someone crashed into my building, breaking 2 windows in the office area and 2 windows in an apartment. I reached out to Glass Doctor in June, they came over, measured the windows, and gave me a quote. I told them to proceed with the job. After that, I didn't hear anything from them, so in early July, I called and they said I needed to pay 50% upfront to place the order. I sent them a payment of $1269.56, and they said it would take 4-6 weeks to complete the windows. In September, I called for an update, and they said there was a delay due to Covid, but they should have the windows by mid-October. In November, I called again, and they said the windows had arrived but needed to be picked up and installed. Finally, on November 22, someone came and looked at the window opening in the apartment. They apologized and said they had ordered the wrong size windows, so they had to reorder. They said it would take another 6 weeks to get the new ones. Since I couldn't get through to them, on January 21, 2022, I asked my coworker William Riley, who lives nearby, to go to the main office for an update. He spoke to a supervisor who said, and I quote, "They said that the windows are ready, they must pick it up and that it should be installed in a week." However, I didn't receive any call by the end of the week, so I called again on January 31, 2022, and they asked me to wait a few more days. As of today, February 9, 2022, I still haven't received the windows, any explanation, or my money back. I've attached the invoice. Please help.

Glass Doctor came to my house and gave me a quote for $827.76 to replace four window panels. They sent me a link to pay, and my credit card was charged $886.62 by SERVICE CONVENIENCE INC. The technician arrived on time and said they could only fix three of the broken panels because they didn't have the right equipment for the fourth. I didn't want to go through the hiring process again, so I didn't say anything and asked the technician to let me know when they were done. Later, I tried to find the technician and realized they had already left. They repaired two panels, but left a big mess behind. They also broke the two outside panels on one of the windows they replaced. I think they broke the windows and left without fixing the third window I paid for. The company claims I wasn't available when the technician left, but that's not true. They offered to refund me $134.44 for one window panel when their new computer system is working. They also offered to inspect the situation, but I don't feel comfortable letting them back into my home since I live alone. The broken windows are visible from the outside, which is dangerous. It feels like a scam. I've lost almost $900, and I still have four broken windows, this time on the street level. The company admits to breaking the windows and only attempting to replace two of the four, but they still won't give me a refund. They haven't responded to my messages, and no refund has been issued.
