Bad customer service/ more about profit than the
October 15, 2023
By Stormy from Lubbock texas
8/28/23 I was sold a 2021 jeep compass that the transmission was out. I wasn't gone 30 minutes from me purchasing this vehicle and took it straight to service. They told be it was the wheel bearing. Long story short 2 weeks later after giving me the run around, The secretary in the service department finally told me that it had transmission issues. The service manager told me they had to buy the transmission to fix the wheel bearing because you could not buy the separately. So I asked to get another vehicle due to that one having issues before I bought it. So now a month later i find out they didn't pay off the jeep, I still have balance, and my new vehicle is $10,000 upside down. They should have never traded the jeep in they should have canceled it and started over because the car was broke when I bought it. All this has cause negative remarks on my credit report due to the finance company showing I have 2 car loans and not paying on one. And my car payment is now $627 due to the negative equity in my car. I have a 2021 kia F5 that I owe almost 30,000 on. I didn't even trade in a car initially and had $500 down. So I can not even refinance my car to make my payments cheaper because of the negative equity. I have called and talk to the used service manager and when I told him I wanted to speak to the General Manager he hung up on me. I belive this was wrong for them to take advantage of someone that did not understand what they were doing and they were just trying to make a profit not once but twice. For 30,000 I could be driving a new car. I bought used because I needed a cheaper car payment and now my payment is $100 higher than the jeep. Sales Manger told me the reason was because the bank messed up on my first application only like 2 weeks difference between application that's why my car payment is higher. I am very disappointed and unhappy about this whole situation. I would greatly appreciate a resolution to these issues.
Desired outcome: To finish paying the jeep off, and, and fix it where I'm not trading In a car that they sold be broke.
I got a car, 2013 Chrsyler 200, from Gene Messer Hyundai on March 31
I got a car, 2013 Chrsyler 200, from Gene Messer Hyundai on March 31. After only a week, I found out that it was overheating and the radio didn't work. I took it to the Dodge house in Plainview because of the extended warranty. I found out that it had a knocking noise and it was a preexisting issue with the car. I feel like Gene Messer is giving me the run around on the engine repair. It was a pre-existing issue and I shouldn't have to pay for it. I feel like they knew about the problems before I left the lot with it. I have all the emails that I sent and from the dealership. If I need to provide them, could someone help me?
Got some letters 'bout a lawsuit 'gainst the engine in our Hyundai Santa Fe
Got some letters 'bout a lawsuit 'gainst the engine in our Hyundai Santa Fe. Got a brochure in the mail 'bout a settlement and a software upgrade. Brochure says to get the free software update at the dealership. Made an appointment and got text confirmations. When I got there, they said they can't do the update 'less the engine light is on, even though the brochure says otherwise. Tech said he deals with this 4 times a day. They shoulda called to check if the light was on to save my time and gas. Not a good way to do business.

I took my car to Gene Messer Hyundai on Feb 25, 2022, for recall work
I took my car to Gene Messer Hyundai on Feb 25, 2022, for recall work. I set up the appointment on Feb 22. They were supposed to fix the valve cover gasket issue that affected the alternator, Recall 121. After a few days, they said the work was done, and I could pick up my car on March 2nd. But as I drove home, the oil lamp light was on, and the car started smoking. When I got home, I saw that the engine cover was missing, the car was smoking where they were supposed to fix it, the oil lamp light was still on, and the oil dipstick was broken. I called the service department, and they told me to call the manager in the morning. The manager sent two people to get my car because I didn't feel safe driving it. Later, the Service Manager called and said the engine seized up, and the car was no longer drivable. He said Hyundai wouldn't fix it because it was out of warranty due to the time and mileage. He also said they didn't have an engine in stock nationwide. They didn't offer to help me fix it. Hyundai issued the recall in Nov 2020 and sent several notices. The final notice was sent on Sept 7, 2021, saying Veracruz owners could schedule work for the recall. I did, but the dealership forgot to order the parts. The technician didn't finish the work, and they shouldn't have released my car.
I got my car from Gene Messer Hyundai on 9/3/2022 for $5798
I got my car from Gene Messer Hyundai on 9/3/2022 for $5798. It had 180,155 miles on it. My pal *** was with me when I checked it out. Gene Messer Hyundai told us that the water pump had been replaced and that two new tires would be put on it after it was sold. They also said that the cracked windshield would be replaced after it was sold. They said that the windshield would be replaced on a certain date, but it wasn't. When *** was at work, the car stalled while her daughter was driving it. It had a mechanical failure and stopped on the freeway exit. A teacher helped them restart the car and followed them home. I arrived at ***'s house. The teacher told me that there was no coolant in the radiator or reservoir and that she had checked the oil dipstick and it was dry. The teacher also said that the radiator cap was not on the radiator when she opened the car's hood. I saw that there was no radiator cap and no coolant in the radiator or the reservoir. I checked the oil dipstick twice and both times there was no oil on the dipstick. I went to the auto store and bought the amount and type of coolant and oil per the attendant's instructions. I refilled the coolant and oil. I went to Take Five and had the coolant system flushed and refilled, had oil filter and oil changed. They flushed out lots of crud with coolant flush/vacumn. Car was still running hot. We returned it to Gene Meser, Mike said the radiator cap being off and the oil plug not being put back was "on us" ( meaning GeneMesser) They replaced the spark plugs. Now car hard to start, running hot, AC not working, thermostat replaced by mobile mechanic. Now sits at Christian brothers until next step. All mechanics say irrevesibledamage was done to engine because radiator cap off.
