Before purchasing the Quatix 8 (a smartwatch optimized for marine activities), I asked a Garmin store if it was compatible with Raymarine devices and received an affirmative response. However, the product is not compatible. I then asked if I could return the product, but was told (by the store) that since the packaging was missing, this was not possible unless Garmin provided the store with the missing packaging elements, which Garmin declined to do. Essentially, not only was I given incorrect technical information, but Garmin (which should ensure the technical competence of the store clerks displaying its brand) then refused to allow the store to accept the return due to a missing piece of cardboard. €1,044.99 down the drain. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
