I filed my 2018 tax return with this company online. I did not see a choice to put married but filing separately so I put single. My federal tax return got rejected. I tried to go back and look for a way to file it since there is not a filing option filing status of married but filing separately. I have written the company at least 8 times and I still get the answer to change my filing status, but I cant because married but filing separately is not an option. There is no other option. I am so frustrated and now I have to file with another company. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Federal and state tax forms were completed and submitted through this website. 18 days later, neither federal or state returns are shown as filed. Multiple messages and voicemails were made to this company regarding this question. Each email response is to logon and check messages via the website. I have logged on and followed instructions each time to which all I get is a blank screen and no message. I expressed my concern and asked that my questions be answered directly to email provided. Their only response is that my question has been answered, there is nothing wrong with the program and I will have to logon to retrieve the message. The charge of 19.99 was taken for the state return, but the return is still showing not filed.

They are trying to charge me an extra fee saying they cannot collect based on the banking info I gave them . They got the exact same info that I put on their website to the IRS and State of Oklahoma , they both have taken there money for taxes out of my account with that same information. They locked me out of my account unless I pay the 19 $ fee for filing state and an extra 35 $ , they want me to pay by credit card , the whole thing seems like a scam , I even told them I would send a cashiers check for the 19$ or unlock the account so I could go in to correct the banking info . So they can get paid . They have refused my offers of payment . I will not give out my CC info until I get some answers that I truly made a mistake. They refuse to show any proof it was my mistake . I have screen shots of all our correspondence so far to provide if needed.

I filed my taxes this year online through Free 1040 tax returns. I gave them my bank account and routing number for direct deposit of my tax return and to allow them to take payment of $39.95. I know the information given was correct because my tax return was deposited without any issues. I received an email stating that my payment was returned. I called my bank and they said there was never an attempt from this company to withdraw $39.95. The only way to contact this company is through a message center on their website. When I went on their website they added a $35.00 late fee. When I message them stating my concerns and what my bank told me they replied with "So you calling our bank a liar?" When I offered to mail a check for the original payment they said they don't except checks. Currently the only way to pay, is on their website with a credit card for an amount I do not agree with. Had I done my research prior to using them I would have seen the many problems this company has cause for so many other people some very similar to mine.

I am attempting to re-gain access to my account from which I eFiled my 2019 tax return on 7/15. I have sent several emails requesting assistance in this matter on their website. They only provide a single source of contact which is a form on their website. I am unable to call or send an email to a proper email address. I contend that their system has erred and recorded my login information improperly. I have my information written down as well as I used information I commonly use for username & password. My emails have been elaborate and explain the situation. The responses have been one sentence responses largely, not addressing half my concerns. Their response below: "This means you are entering your information incorrectly." "If the system is saying the information does not match, then the information you are entering is not matching what is in the system that you entered when you registered." "If the information was correct you would not be having an issue. We cannot just reset a taxpayers information." "The only way to reset a password is by using the forgot password link on the login screen." I understand they have to be careful with this as sensitive information is at hand. That is also why this matter is so frustrating, they are the company efiling my taxes. They have taken my information, money and locked me out of my account. On the off chance I have created some unintended typo, they refuse to work with me on additional means of identity verification. Despite having a myriad of my personal information that would make this possible. I see on many many many websites that have reviews for this company where several others have been in a similar boat and the company refuses to provide any assistance. They have no on where on their website stating they wont provide any password recovery assistance. So here I am having paid my money and done everything right from my perspective and this company refuses to allow me access to my information. or even address the issue in a constructive fashion I understand this is a sensitive situation for them, but providing no help and telling me "oh well" is not a way a company should act. I can't even verify the services I paid for have been rendered.

I used free1040taxrefund.com, which I found off the IRS website for free tax services. I filled out my 2019 taxes through this software for both Federal and State. When it came to the filing part, the payment screen showed that I was being charged $35.00 to file my State taxes. This irked me, since according to their software, I was only getting $30 back on my State refund and I was going to end up paying MORE than my return, which was a frustrating fact. But, since I was getting more money back on my Federal return, I was okay (not happy) to get my taxes out the way and done with! I input my banking information for Direct Deposit and to have the payment come out of that same account (side note: I did not see anywhere on the page that it would cost me extra to pay for the services with my bank account). On April 24th, I received a letter and my State Refund (which the State adjusted to include the Kicker of $54.00, making my total $84.00) check. Figured my Federal refund would be on its way soon, although I was getting a little worried that it still had not shown up. On April 22, I received an email from Free1040taxrefund.com Inc, letting me know that the, "...payment made for our services was returned by the bank," and instructed me to go back their website to "rectify this situation." It goes further to state, "Access to our system will be limited until you take care of the payment." This made no sense! I qualified for their FREE Federal return, per their requirements and I had already received confirmation from my state that my State return was accepted and processed and had already deposited my refund. Upon logging on to my account, the balance owed was $58.90 (for the original amount plus $35 returned item fee). That would mean, they charged me $23.90 to file my State return (and not the $19.95, which I found on their home screen website). But since my State return was accepted and approved by the IRS (which is what I would be paying for), I did not and nor do I, think it is legal for them to hold my Federal Tax Return and not send it to the IRS thus blocking me from sending it through any actual legit (I am embarrassed to say, they scammed me) online tax business! I am unable to access anything else in my account (any returns filed, my payment page, etc), until I pay them what they want. This is extremely shady. I have no way to show the $35 they charged me originally, and/or show that I input my payment information correctly and that it would cost me extra to use my bank account to pay for their services! I was able to look at their homepage, FAQ's, Services and Pricing, Electronic Payment, and Supported States and their contact sections (which did not provide any phone numbers, addresses, or an email). Instead, they only provide their website and a link to their "Support and Contact," which takes you back to the balance owed page. Also, on this page, it clearly states that they locked my Federal Return! So, I messaged them with my concerns and issues to try to resolve this matter and be incompliance with the law. I received a very rude and short message back! On this message, they told me that it costs $23.90 to file my State taxes (not even the $19.95 they have posted on their pages). The individual who replied, kept referring to Payment page, which I have no way of access to verify any of this information. I am furious and I am stressed out with the fact that they have my sensitive information and my Federal Return!
