Super easy to work with! I needed to move from *** since I had just finished school and my internship, and I had got in contact with ***. He set me up and had me picked up by the end of the month, no weird fees and everything was delivered on time. These guys also pick up when you call them, I never take that for granted!

This company is a scam, they outsourced our move to *** which has an F rating on ComplaintsBoard.com and now a move that was estimated 2 week delivery has grown to over a month and our belongings are no where to be found. They wont answer our calls and just keep claiming they cant get in touch with the company they outsourced the move to. Horrible experience as my spouses medical supplies are missing in some warehouse right now.

5 Star Moving Company hired *** LLC to move our stuff. *** got a bad rating from ComplaintsBoard.com, and they almost doubled our estimate and made our storage costs almost four times higher. 5 Star couldn't or wouldn't assist us, so we lost a bunch of money and had to fly to another state to take our things out of ***s warehouse by ourselves. After that, we had to figure out another way to move everything to our new place. It was a really stressful and costly couple of months dealing with all of this.

This company is a scam, they outsourced our move to *** They are just a Broker, using someone else's Rating to get $$$ in their pocket. Tried to cancel within 60 minutes of realizing, called BROKER back he stated he could not revise the quote or refund my deposit. I would have to email Customer Service, with my request in which I did for a refund. I called Customer Service first thing Monday morning, which I talked to *** (Company Owner) which was Very Rude and Insulting Language which I will not type out. Proceeded to hang the phone up on me, this person "Company needs to be put out of business. Scam who is stealing peoples money just to have a store front "Internet Scam" Cookie tracking scam. They do not do any of the physical labor to make a person's very stressful move to another location. A search for movers, need to review the person you are talking to (that company) the one doing the physical service.

Terrible company and be careful. We hired them for a long distance move from *** to . This company is a broker that hires other moving companies and assigned me a poorly rated moving carrier called Moving Pros who tried to change my moving date at the last minute, despite it being arranged for days and then charging me extra fees including elevator fee despite having that clearly listed in the contract that I would not be charged for. Having been put in the corner after all our items were already in the truck and did not have a plan B in place, we had no other choice but to pay the fees. At the end we ended up having missing items damaged goods. We called Five Star and complained, who stated they could do nothing about it. The manager was very unprofessional who ended up cursing me out and forcing me to remove my review otherwise would not help me with the claim process. Fast forward months later, nothing came out of the claim and we are looking into getting reparations somehow. Would not recommend to anyone!

This company is a scam. They gave me an estimate to move, 2 days before moving I called them to check that everything was set to go. We went through my items and I added a few small things and this almost doubled my moving cost. So I decided not to move those items and stick with the original list of items. I performed a FaceTime call with one of the employees to make sure the estimate was correct. I was moving a large tool box, a TV stand, a queen bed, and I had about 20 plastic tote bins. I gave the exact dimensions of the furniture and tool box. And all the tote bins were labeled with the size from the store I bought them from. This was all seen in the FaceTime call. When the moving company arrived (11:30 pm), they told me I was quoted wrong. (Quote for $2,000) The moving company told me to move my stuff it would be $3,500. So I called the manager of Five Star Moving Company about the issue and he proceeded to tell me I am a terrible customer, he began swearing at me over the phone and hung up on me and then I was no longer able to reach the company. I ended up paying the moving company directly and disputing the charges with Five Star Moving Company. I never got any money back from them. I would not recommend this company to anybody, they are a scam and will do anything to take your money.

Read your contract thoroughly. Do not trust them! He misinformed us on how delivery would happen. The cost of the move kept changing with pick up, and I dealt with it. But I was assured because they are an A- rating on ComplaintsBoard.com that they were the best to deal with. When it came down to the wire and we needed some customer support, they have been a nightmare to deal with. They are a broker and only want the money at the end of the day. They will not help get us the answer we need. He told me good luck with getting your things since the carrier isn't answering. And hung up on me after being condescending and rude. He told me that we don't live in a world where we can just snap our fingers and a unicorn will deliver our stuff. He also said that he sent an email in response to mine and that I was ridiculous for wanting an ETA of when our things would arrive. I have written a very detailed email of the entire situation and the lack of delivery of our things and lack of communication. (No email was ever sent in response to my long detailed email) This company is completely unprofessional and has a typical New York negative attitude and said deal with it, you should have read your contract because once the carrier picks up, the broker doesn't have to do anything to help. Be very aware of what you sign. This has brought us to leaving negative reviews. I will not let someone else go through what we are experiencing with no delivery of our things in sight. I hope we get our things and some communication soon, but as of right now, it's all a mystery. Do not go with this company, you will regret it.

I hired this company on 5/30 to move me from *** to *** between 6/1 and 6/3. But on 6/2, they told me they ain't got no trucks for my move. Then on 6/3, they cashed my check *** for $1941 from my Navy *** account. I tried reaching out to them many times, but they never gave me my money back or provided the services I paid for.

5 star (DOT #: *** MC #: ***) messed up our deal, didn't give back the $600 deposit like we agreed. Our deal said 'If customer cancels move with Five Star Moving Company up to 7 DAY BEFORE THE MOVING DAY, customer gets 100% refund of deposit.' I moved from 9/10/9 and canceled on 8/26 but they said no refund for me. 5 Stars is not cool, they badmouth other companies and even took down the agreement link after denying my refund. Luckily, I have proof. Be careful!

This moving company is a broker for moving services. They don't act professional. I told them upfront about the things I needed to move, but when the movers arrived, they charged extra for moving our big gun safe. I told them that my husband's employer was ready to pay for the move using a credit card, but they said they don't take credit cards. When I contacted the moving company directly, they said we could have paid with a credit card directly to them. Two days before our move, they called to ask for the dimensions of our items, and suddenly the price went up by $1200.00. The owner of the company, ***, even threatened my husband when he questioned the new price. This company should be looked into.

On June 10th, I got a quote from Five Star Moving Company for my move from Las Vegas to Louisville, KY. They said it would be 399 cubic feet of space for $2,561.58 ($6/cubic foot), which seemed like a really good deal. The move was scheduled for June 24th or 25th, so I was all set.

But then, on the 18th, I did a video walkthrough with one of their guys. I showed him every single part of my condo and told him what stuff I wanted to move and what stuff I didn't. He took all that into account and gave me a new estimate of around $4,800 for 660 cubic feet. I agreed to the higher price because I figured it was still reasonable.

Fast forward to today, June 24th, and two movers showed up at my place in the morning. They said that even though we had done the walkthrough, they thought our stuff would fit in 660 cubic feet. They said they would try to make it work.

But then, at 9 p.m., they called me and said they could do it, but it would cost $7,800 for 850 cubic feet. That's $1,400 more than what they originally quoted me ($6/foot + fuel). And to make matters worse, they took away my access to the online quote.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Five Star Moving Company. The whole process has been a bit of a mess, and I feel like they're trying to take advantage of me with these sudden price increases. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company.

Both my son and daughter-in-law and I booked separate moves with Five Star. Due to their shocking mishandling of my son's move and the belief that we were defrauded, I have canceled my move with them and asked for the return of my deposit. They haven't responded. On the day of my son's move, they promised that the movers would be at my home WITH EQUIPMENT SPECIFICALLY INCLUDING A PIANO BOARD to pick up a VERY valuable piano I was gifting to my children. This required coordination with piano movers who were moving the piano down the stairs of my home. Promises were not kept - they didn't arrive, didn't bring the equipment, and couldn't take the piano, thus costing us storage fees with the piano company. They refused to take any responsibility for making this happen. This has endangered the piano (which I am getting other movers to take). They also presented themselves as a moving company, not a broker, and FRAUDULENTLY REPORTED they were THE SAME COMPANY as 5 STAR MOVING in ***.

I used Five Star Moving Company to move from *** to ***. My stuff got picked up by North *** Movers, LLC on March 27, 2022. That's the moving company Five Star Moving Company used for my move. I had to call a bunch of times when I got to *** before they finally delivered most of my stuff on May 15, 2022. But guess what? Some big things were missing, like my king sized bed. I called both Five Star and North America Movers a bunch more times. Five Star kept saying they'd make sure I got the rest of my stuff. But now, three months later, they're saying the movers are going out of business and it's not their problem anymore. They told me to call the warehouse if I want my stuff, 'cause the owner is scared of getting sued. That makes me think they knew about problems with this company before, but they still used them. I paid $6,592.28, waited over 4 months, and made a ton of calls and texts trying to get my stuff, but no luck.

I hired this company to move me from CA to FL. I paid over $12k already and still owe $12k upon delivery. The problem is with the carrier they hired. He didn't show up on time, didn't have the right truck size, and didn't have enough packing materials even though I paid for full packing services. He didn't have enough blankets, so we had to get another truck. The driver asked for $3k in cash on the first day to pay the packers. On day 3, he wanted another $4k deposit for the second truck. Then, on the 4th night, he called after 7pm asking for another $5k to get the rest of my items from storage. He had already given me an estimate for the second truck after touring the facility. I refused to give him more money. So, he left my items in the storage space without securing them. He stopped answering my calls and texts. He never gave me the final packing list of items to be shipped. I've called the company many times, but they haven't been helpful in finding out where my furniture is. This has been a complete nightmare, and I'm not getting any answers.

I hired Five Star Moving Company for a move across states. They assured me that they only work with highly rated movers, but they ended up sending me a terrible moving company. They claimed to have used them before and had no issues, but I had my doubts. It was only two days before my move, and they switched the original carrier that was supposed to pick up my belongings. I expressed my concerns, but they insisted that everything would be fine.

When the movers arrived, they were completely unprepared. They didn't have any tools or blankets to protect my furniture, even though it was clearly stated in the contract. I also couldn't obtain a Certificate of Insurance, which was also promised in the contract. I had provided them with an accurate inventory list, but the movers still increased the cubic feet by a significant amount.

I tried to work with them for two weeks to get my belongings delivered. I had specifically requested a delivery date of July 25th when I initially set up the move. Finally, when my items were delivered, I couldn't get a proper bill of lading with the correct amount. To make matters worse, my items were delivered in a moldy and damaged condition. I've been unable to get a response from the carrier to file an insurance claim.

On top of all this, Five Star Moving Company charged me an additional fee because my estimated inventory didn't match the final inventory. Now I've paid more than necessary for items that need to be thrown away and replaced. Neither Five Star nor the moving company they hired are reachable. It's clear that there has been a breach of contract, as many of the promised services were not fulfilled.

My initial quote was about $5000, but it got raised to $7916.24 after I sent the final list and pictures to *** @ Five Star Moving. I had some bulky items, so I ordered *** to help with the move. However, on moving day, when 98% of my stuff was already loaded on the truck, I got a call from D Logistics. They said I had more bulky items and demanded an extra $9000 to finish the job. They threatened to unload everything if I didn't pay, and also mentioned an additional $4500 charge upon delivery. *** the driver told me that I filled 25 out of 26 trucks, which equaled *** cubic feet. The truck wasn't loaded to the top, so I don't know the exact cubic feet used. He also mentioned that the actual cost should be $9500, so I should expect a refund. The cost started at $5000, but the final cost ended up being $15,400.

On the day of delivery, *** from Thanks Moving arrived without any help. My sister and I managed to find three young men to assist with unloading, but it cost me an extra $375 because the driver refused to pay them.

*** showed up in a 26-foot truck with two other households' belongings loaded in it. Each of us had one-third of the truck. There were no dividers, and *** kept asking me if certain items were mine. There were also items that didn't belong to me, as well as moving blankets that no one seemed to care about. When I asked *** about the cubic feet used and the weight, he said he didn't know.

According to my contract, my belongings should have been unloaded, brought into the house, and the movers should have reassembled the items they had disassembled. However, none of that happened. The plastic wrap and blankets they used were never even removed.

I sent dozens of photos and a video of *** mishandling my furniture to *** and then to *** of Five Star Moving, and finally to *** of D Logistics. However, it was all a waste because they told me to file a claim with the number ***.

Many items never made it to my new location, and the ones that did arrive had significant damage. In total, this move cost me $15,775, not to mention the countless hours I spent making lists, taking pictures, and filling out forms. It was also frustrating to live surrounded by damaged items.

Pick up in Arizona on 7/28, delivery in Virginia on 8/11.
