FirstKey Homes review: Rent scammers - raised rent to an absurd amount

As a military servicemember, we only get so much for house allowance. Three months before my lease expire, Firstkey Homes offered me a new lease with a short window to respond using shark like tactics. The offer was an $400 increase by a certain date and $500 by another date, then $900 increase if we missed the deadline and go month to month. The community have a lot of homes built the same way but owned by their competitors. Those same homes are renting for a cheaper price or the same as my rent was. They may utilize the same tactics of taking advantage of large families because no one wants to move during a school year.
