They made a third party charge to my phone bill without my authorization. I called them as soon as I saw the charge on my phone bill and they cancelled my account but they said they could not credit my account and they had already sent another charge to my phone bill the day before. The person who they said authorized the charge was someone I had never heard of. AT&T was very helpful and recommended I file a complaint with the FCC who recommended I file a complaint with the FTC, which I did. Also AT&T recommended putting a third party block on my account so no one can bill anything to my phone bill without my written authorization.
The last time I called ezipsearch I was told the system was down and they would call me back. Of course that didn't happen. If ezip wants to make things right contact me directly.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
File your eZip complaints with the PUC & FCC so that we can stop this kind of 3rd party unauthorized billing on phone bill! They called Verizon Corpoprate for me
I, too, was scammed by EZIP. The sales pitch was 3 free months, then they would contact me for authorization. No contact was ever made, and I am now being charged $300. I plan to join a class action law suit.
WHAT A SCAM! They charged us twice on our phone bill. We even listened to the recording, and it said that they will contact me about continuing service after the free trial. THEY NEVER DID! So, the ###, JASMINE, that I talked to said that she would take 50% off due to the confusion?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Why should I pay at all?!?!?! The charge was only $200, but its the principal... and from the looks of it that's how they make their money. SCAM!
I just got my phone bill with ATT and saw this ridiculous charge from EZipSearch that I did not authorize. I called them and I was told they cannot reverse and no refund will be provided, Im pissed it's hard enough to catch up with monthly bills and then this one. Total charge is about $200.00. And yes I will join a class law suit...
My husband just has a business line that he has had for 20 years. It is really just a gohst line that AT&T has for him, but all calls get forwarded to his cell. His AT&T bill is usually about $20.00. I couldn't believe when I opened his bill to see $209.80 Are they insane? This is outrageous! He would be happy to be part of a class action suit, and these scammers deserve it!
Who is this eZipSearch company? They charged my account also without my consent.
I am planning to file a complaint in a form of class action law suit. If you are victimized, please contact me: [protected] Mr. D. Cohen
We apologize for your negative experience. Our protocol requires all sales calls be recorded and approved by two sets of Quality Assurance agents. If our QA teams do not hear the client specifically agreeing to our scripted authorization questions, the call is failed and service will not be rendered for that client. Thus, we are confused as to how an account and billing could have been established for you if, in fact, you declined our service during the initial sales call. It is possible that an error might have been made on our part, and if that is the case, we sincerely apologize. We invite you to contact us directly if you feel certain you have been billed in error.
As always, we openly invite you to speak with our Customer Service department and allow us the chance to resolve any issues or concerns you may have with our service. We can be reached toll free at 1.888.993.2743.
Sincerely,
eZipSearch
