Energy Smart Engineering Inc review: A/C Repair

On Saturday August 20, 2022 Energy Smart Engineering Inc. came to my house to work on my air conditioning in which we told them that we were pretty sure our capacitor that went out however since my husband is not an A/C person he would rather an A/C person work on it. The person on the phone explained that it would be $125 fee to come out and then whatever costs for the services. The young man that came out was really nice and in fact verified that the capacitor was bad and told my son that it would be another $396 to fix bringing our total up to $521. My husband spoke with the repair person on the phone and even the repair person was unsure on why the cost was so high however assured us that we would be getting a receipt from the company with a breakdown of the cost. When I got the receipt there was not a breakdown of the cost. It said $125 service cost and $396 flat fee. On Monday my husband made numerous attempts to call the business and left messages to be called back and no return calls. On Tuesday my husband finally got to talk to someone and they said that what they send was a breakdown and that was all we were getting of the bill. We were wanting something saying how much the capacitor was and how much we paid for labor because I feel as though they price gouged us and they are now ignoring our requests now that the check has cleared.
