This cattery is registered under the Traditional Cat Association (TCA). Upon further research, the TCA does not do live cat shows, submissions are done through pictures. They also do not guarantee any of the breeders registered with them. When conversing through email with Elliotthauss and agreeing on kittens through pictures they would not send a picture of the kittens with their mother. Upon deciding to pick up the kittens we were informed that they would meet us at a gas station and under no circumstances could we visit the cattery. We began to have suspicions that these kittens might not be from the mother they indicated on their web, or that the condition of their cattery is not up to good standards. They would not send a picture of their cattery, of the mother with kittens, or send a referral from the vet and chose instead to promptly return our deposit. This whole transaction raised red flags, and we have been assured from other breeders that while it may not be possible to handle cats and kittens because of disease transmission, that is it very common to allow people to see the cattery and have pictures of the kittens with mother from birth. Upon further research, a TCA registration is also not over strong in determining the quality of a kitten from a breeder.

We actually bought a kitten from them 3 years ago. Within 24 hours of receiving her (yes we met at a mall parking lot), she began to have seizures. I had to take her immediately to emergency. Thousands of dollars later we were able to bring her home. The seizures rendered her cross eyed but she was the sweetest thing you would ever meet. 6 months later the problem resurfaced again and yet again 1 year after that. Sadly, she was a very sick cat and she went downhill and couldn't be saved this past weekend. I contacted Tiny Pals when the first episode occurred and they were extremely rude, claimed it was only because she was nervous and i should never have taken her to a vet...just let her die?
Anyways, very unscrupulous and i would highly recommend that animal lovers stay away. I have tried to find a social media presence online to complain but havent been able to.

Good for you. Some breeders do not like clients on their home due to their cats being stolen, animal rights people causing problem, or diseases in their cattery. But there should be no reason that the breeder cannot provide you with references of past clients and met you at the vet office she uses, so you know they are healthy. I would have done the same as you. With technology as it is, there is no reason the breeder cannot send you a great deal of pictures. I was sent pictures from conception, from now. I am getting a Savannah. I hope you find someone that you trust.
